... You know when a government starts faltering people get very tensed. You don't digest your food when you have a bad news. (?) your neighbor somebody got shot and (?) happened, you don't feel good (?). Subconscious feeling is very important to a human being. That is what you have seen in the past. But positive (?). You know Nixon time there was university riots, all that jazz. In old (?) though he ducked up in the same seat he never found any (?) he never found anything rotten. Why? Because there was less frustration. Though he got (?). All these things (?) micro consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. affects the macro consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. and macro consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. . It's the law of polarity. But what a meditative mind does it, meditative mind feels what is affecting and how much. So it can be (?). Okay folks, I think I'll call everybody who has gone (?). Everybody is here?

Now we will get to meditate. Today we are meditating on our sexual energy. I am telling you why we call it sexual energy because it is creative energy. The dumminess, the dumbness in us, the senility, ineffectiveness, inactiveness (?) of mind. Today we will balance that out and tomorrow we will work on progressive intuitiveness. Then I'll be on my way and you will be on your way. Right? So God-willing, if there is a chance you come here again. Everybody here? Okay, now please sit in good posture. Posture of your life and this life. Right? You may look funny. This is a very funny meditationMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. . Put your left hand this way and put your right hand this way. Just open and just keep looking through it, that's all. This thumb should touch the pinky, all five fingers open of that and that. Right in the presence of your nose. And see that you see the tip of your first hand thumb and last tip of your pinky.

Now you are creating a wall between the cross-level of your optical nerve vision that will stimulate the brain. Now don't break. Keep eyes straight. That is very perfect. Because all that stimulation we did to ourself is capable of giving us the energy to enjoy the experience. Don't look left, don't look right, look straight. You may keep on meditating twenty years nothing will happen and this may give you (?) in twenty minutes provided if you do it right. Keep your fingers open my friends; there is a purpose for everything. It's a very heavy exercise, meditationMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. and it is a very powerful outlet. Now you are entering a area of physical, mental change in five directions. This way you are now conquering the pain. Exerting your self will. Inhale deep, relax. Close your eyes and chant with me. Healthy am I, happy am I, holy am I...

Students chant: Healthy am I, happy am I, holy am I, healthy am I, happy am I, holy am I...

(Chanting continues)

(Chanting stops)

YB: Just relax, just relax, just relax. Don't get too much Divine you know just keep on (?) you got to face this world. Fifteen more minutes you get into that spirit and we don't have (?) okay, start talking to each other please. It was good meditationMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. , it was nice, whenever you want to put yourself in a very Divine consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. you can do what you have been taught today and then you can sit like this and you can go on doing anything to yourself you can be far out, you can be... we have limitation we have time limitation, space limitation. Understand? Other part of it we will do it... may the long time...

Students sing: May the long time Sun shine upon you...

In the Christianity, in Bible we have read "In the beginning there was a word, word was with God and word was God." That is what I want you to experience. This ShabadShabad , Shabd Sound, especially subtle sound or sound imbued with consciousness. It is a property or emanation of consciousness itself. If you meditate on shabad it awakens your awareness. she is going to sing has a qualifying effect on mind and body to heal the body and the mind. Now the words are just the intuition in technical sound and if your tongue rotates on eighty-four meridian points, they have been said in that combination. That's why we gave you those leaflets. If you can pick up the sound and just rotate your tongue, don't worry about the meaning what she is saying. All she is saying is that God is the Giver and devotees don't get sickness for which you don't worry about that.

But if you can just rotate your sound see if you get some right experience for that. That's what particularly I am trying to stress because the entire Sikh religion is based on one sentence in the entire Bible, which John said "In the beginning there was a word, word was with God and word was God." And that's all it is about. There is nothing too much about it; there is nothing too less about it. And I'll explain to you later the detail of it but at this moment she has picked up a very particular section, section on healing and those sounds I'll scientifically explain to you as I teach in University of Los Angeles, California, how it affects and what is all about! But at this moment I'll like if you can...

(Musicians sing)

"Wahe Wahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. It is the Infinite teacher of the soul. Also called the gur mantra. GuruWahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. It is the Infinite teacher of the soul. Also called the gur mantra. JiJi Soul; used as an endearment or sign of respect. Ki Fateh."

It is God's grace and His dignity that I have to speak in this way. Let me introduce you something in particular. Sikh religion is one of the major eight religions, with a one part of the humanity. But basically there are only two religions in the world. 'Atheist and Theist.' And the only difference between these two religions is that atheists are very united and very committed and theists are equally very divided and they do not know how to unite. That is the main problem. If somebody from Jerusalem come here and see you all wearing this little YarmulkaYarmulka Skullcap worn by members of the Jewish faith. on your head he might have thought of it that it is a Jewish congregation. But, however, the word, which we sing and praise the Lord is exactly in which Christianity divided itself from the Judaism. Sikh Religion is not the religion of nineteenth century. I will not like to deny that to you. It's a religion for the coming generation scientifically speaking; it has a tremendous amount of scientific explanations.

You will deal with me certain things, which we do and which looks very ritualistic to you. First of all we all come and bow to Siri GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. GranthGranth Literally: knot: book. . For you it might be a book, for us it's a living word of God, why for us, why not for you? Question is we have been explained and we have experienced it and you are not explained well. You have to go back five thousand years and look at the history of the western world. First Prophet, which man got and who gave the message of love and freedom of (?) was Hazrath Ibrahim. It was followed by the law giver Hazrath Moses. It was followed by the messenger of love and humanity Hazrath Messa, you call Jesus (?). In our language because he was a student of ours, we always have remembered him by the given name from the academy in the North of Kashmir, where still people worship his grave and miracles happen to them when they pray over there.

It was the great powerful Catholic Church who allows not Government of India to publish that part of truth so that information will not be spread to (?) I am sorry for that but that is what the information still stand as record of that area. And thereafter out of Christianity (?) came and Hazrath Mohammad took the message. And finally it ended up in mystic part from kabala to the (?) onto the mystery of the Sufis. Now this is a one branch of the humanity, let us go to the other side, Aryans, Aryans got themself into the Mauryan parts, Mauryans spread what is called today Shinto religion of Japan and Confucius thought of ideology. And then came the Buddhism and from Buddhism came the Shaivites and Vaishnavites, and then came the Sanatan DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. . After all we are all one humanity and we all want to know the reality of God, what is going on? Now Hindus worship three Gods, BrahmaBrahma The Hindu God of creation, one the three primary manifestations of God. Vishnu and Mahesh and Western Christianity worships one God.

Now what is one God? There are three letters, G O D, generating power, organizing power and destroying power. Blend them three, make one word out of it, call it God and sometime people ask where to find it and I always advise them in English dictionary. Our practical reality of reference to religion is a basic fundamental need to find our own peace, our own equilibrium because you can belong to a Church and you call yourself Christian, if you do not experience Christianity in Christ consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. you are not near it. It is wonderful world of ours today and today humanity wants to find the peace, the consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. , and unfortunately in Sikh Religion we don't convert anybody. You can convert yourself. Now what is that we are talking about, Siri GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. GranthGranth Literally: knot: book. , which we call is the living GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. is written in poetry fourteen hundred thirty pages in thousands of sutras, is totally written in poetry and in music.

There is not a single spiritual scripture in the world whose work as big as this is, who is totally according to the absolute perfect scale of the music and in absolute perfect combination of the poetry. And after exact eight sutras it turns the mind towards the Infinite God, this is how this compilation is. Purpose of this is simple, there are two ways of creativity in the man, one is your male and female organ to produce your children, and other is your tongue and your mouth to produce your faculty of communication onto Infinity. And why the humans are superior race? Because you communicate. And highest expression of communication of a man is music and poetry, and that is why Siri GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. GranthGranth Literally: knot: book. is in music and in poetry. What it does to us? It doesn't do a thing. But it does a lot.

The each word, each sutraSutra Section from scripture. is so combined in such a permutation and combination that the upper palate of our mouth, which has eighty-four meridian points is subtly touched by the tongue in that combination and thus it forces the pineal gland to radiate and thus it changes the secretion of the pituitary and forces the thalamus to secrete enough to give the Infinite view of intuitive consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. or God consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. What she was singing "sunni-a Sidh Peer Surnath." Now you bear with me "sunni-a Sidh Peer Surnath" the words have been said in that combination, they contain message to God we understand. Every religion contains message to God, every religion contains message to reality, and this is not better than anybody else. Except it is as a preference of a householder. When GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. The language of this recitation is Gurmukhi and frankly speaking the strongest statement by John that is "In the beginning there was a word, word was with God and word was God" could have been easily understood if John would have written also the sacred word. Somebody says it is Allah, somebody says it is Ram; somebody says it is this, somebody says it is that, there are lot of words, which everybody has pronounced to be sacred and are Divine. But there are basic sounds; basic sounds are seven, Saa Ree Gaa Maa Paa Dhaa Nee, that's it. They are as old as caveman is. And out of that there are five words, which combinedly become very sacred. Sa Ta Na Ma, what we call SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. Sat Naam , Sat Nam The essence or seed embodied in form; the identity of truth. When used as a greeting it means "I greet and salute that reality and truth which is your soul." It is called the Bij Mantra - the seed for all that comes. A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word. . We are undertaking rehabilitation of drug program, we are doing this, we are playing with fire all the time.

People come in distress, in total depleted capacity as human being, totally lost the sentiments of human values, we bring them in, we talk to them, we love them and then we made them to recite certain sounds, their whole personality, their whole situation changes. We are not miracle people, we are just very ordinary human being as everybody else is but we know the combination and permutation of key to exalt the human being to a higher consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. . That's all it is about. Sikh means the seeker. A student, who learns the technology to become a God-conscious person. You have to bear with me in every corner of every almost street. I was very little when I studied in Sacred Heart Convent, that's where I started as a Catholic. Then I had the privilege to study Hinduism, then I studied Buddhism, then I studied all the Tibetan and the Chinese and the Japanese, finally I had the privilege to study Islam under very great Moulvi and then I thought wait a minute I was born in a Sikh family, let me know what it is all about. And I studied Sikh way of life and I was almost fifteen. And I thanked God that I started studying them. I couldn't become ritualistic because I am born, therefore I am. I studied this technically, what is this special gift, which has been given to us? And why we are told that if we just recite these words and in the words, in the religious scripture you will never find sharing of the word with other prophets, whereas in Siri Siri Guru Granth Sahib Sacred compilation of the words of the Sikh Gurus as well as of Hindu, Muslim, Sufi, and other saints. They are holy men of God of that time whose sayings have been compiled together, it has Muslims, it has Hindus, it has non-Hindus, everybody everywhere. The idea was that those words, which are capable to raise the consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. That's why we call it Sehaj Yog, easy path to God. It is easy. Easy in a very simple manner, you have to sit down not on your head and legs up, you have not to burn yourself, you have not to chop off your head. You have to do nothing, simply you have to recite.

What she was singing today was by hearing these words said by you, not by me, there is a difference, said by you and heard by you can cure you of any sin or any disease. Now how these words said can have that miracle, that's what I wanted to explain to you because it makes your tongue rotate and touch those meridian points in that combination, which shall secrete the master gland. It is ninety stroke mantraMantra Sounds or words that tune or control the mind. Man means mind. Tra-ng is the wave or movement of the mind. Mantra is a wave, a repetition of sound and rhythm that directs or controls the mind. When you recite a mantra you have impact through the meridian points in the mouth, through its meaning, through its pattern of energy, through its rhythm, and through its naad - energetic shape in time. You meditate and you self-control your whole organic system of yourself and then you vast your horizon and when you see onto Infinity the little belittlements do not count. And you rise above the clouds of mine and Thine and you started saying Thou. A country, a community, a people who do not worship their sacred songs and who do not sing their sacred songs are lost.

Once I was talking to the California council of all these holy sections, we call it religious council of California for which I am a member. And I am going in November in one of the retreat where we are going to discuss 'Where it hurts!' That's what we are going to talk and last time when I went to the council they asked my comments, I said, "You don't worry about the shepherd and the sheep, all you need is wool and you have got so much wool that it has stuck on your eyes, you don't see anything."

And they asked me to elaborate. I said, "Now in Churches and Synagogues we have got nothing but preachers. Not the teachers. Do you go and take a stick and knock at a Christian house and went into his kitchen and see what is in his refrigerator, what he is doing, what he is eating, how he is living? After all it is your congregation. Do you do any inspection or checking in the name of God?"

They said, "It's impossible."

I said, "Then you are impossible."

The idea of a Church was or a Synagogue was or a Temple was the holy priest goes and looks into everybody's affairs how one is progressing towards God. God is our totality, God is our reality, God is our sentiments, God is our emotion, God is everything to us. Without God we are machines, I left India not because I was poor and I needed American bucks. My honesty, that's not true! I was much richer there than I am here and I was much richer there than average American ever can be. Can you believe having twelve servants to look after one man and it's all provided by the government? No illegal, (?) simple.

(Students laugh)

Simple! I left that country eight year ago, resigned that job and when I was told that it is totally a treachery to that country because a officer of my caliber should not think of leaving motherland, I said this is no motherland of mine anymore, it's going to be fatherland of Russia. It's going to be communist; they didn't believe me at that time. They mocked at me, they said I am hallucinating. I was not hallucinating, it's true today. Today they all know it is right. And today if I would have thought of resigning they would have put me behind the bars forever and finished.

But I left them. I knew it. Because I have done Honors in Economics, the highest education degree, which I could get in economics and I know capitalism is terrible. I repeat it every time. Because it has one area (?) that is monopoly, that's why we have rights and laws against monopoly, but communism is a total monopoly of the state and human loses freedom, therefore human cannot relate to God, where there is no freedom of expression and expansion of mind, one cannot think of God. Drink vodka and work. And when there is a grave time, (?). And even you are not told judgment day is near or far away, you have nothing to worry about. You are done. That is what we stand in this land to be free, to be free in consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. We are all equal, it is the society of the equal in human consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. ; don't think of this material values, bricks don't walk onto graveyard with you. If you are rich the only sin you have committed is being rich, there will be a huge tomb on your graveyard and lot of load on you. Otherwise nothing matters. All it matters what you have eaten and how you have digested and how good you look. It does not... don't misunderstand me, rich all do not have lot of respect. Some poor honest people are more respected by society in the society by the people and in the court of God than normally a man in politics and in authority. So I have got no misunderstanding to relate to you to this consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. as human being. It is our highest privilege to understand that we have come from God, we live through the grace of God, and we shall leave when God alone shall wisheth it. But we have responsibility and that responsibility is we have to live as people and as people of God.

Some people ask me why I left Canada and I came to America? I have no sound reason. The only thing, which triggered my arrival here was your dollar bill. One day I just went to the exchange place and I said, "I'll like to have some American currency." So I gave five Canadian dollars and I got five what you call is buck. Your one dollar bill. And I looked at that currency and one thing, which struck me the most it had a saying on it, 'In God we trust.' And I said, "Wow, this is the only one currency in the world MayaMaya The creative power of the Creator that restricts and limits. It creates the sense of limitation that leads us to identify with experience, the ego, and things. Because of this it is often thought of as the illusion that blocks us from the spirit. But, as Guru Nanak (see Sikh Gurus) reminds us, you need not be attached to the productions of maya. Instead they can be used to serve and express the higher consciousness and spirit. Maya is simply Karta Purkh, the doing of the Great Being. Maya takes the ineffable into the realm of the measurable. , money is what money does, this is MayaMaya The creative power of the Creator that restricts and limits. Maya takes the ineffable into the realm of the measurable. , which is the biggest and basic the most fascinating and fantastic scripture by itself. We don't need anything than this. This gives us a message, we buy candy and still we say in God we trust, we buy milk we say in God we trust, if we pay hundred dollars we say hundred times in God we trust, we are saints. Let me go to this land..."

And when I came here I saw nothing but drugs going around. And I said, "Wow, there was a time to generation, Chinese lost their civilization and characteristic of human through opium, Indians lost their happiness and their freedom because of Marijuana, Egypt lost its total knowledge because of peyote and Rome went through the booze and here is the great land where all are prevalent. So I thought of picking around and started rehabilitating people, asking them there is no way to get out of frustration through drugs. There is no way to get out of insanity through drugs, drugs shall not reach you to God, it will reach you to jail."

(Students laugh)

And one day or the other day you will have a very cozy, comfortable, free boarding and lodging duly guarded for you. That is how I started single man; it was a single man crusade. Today you know we are rehabilitating and we are funded and we are respected (?) sometime ask certain things, but there was a time when they thought what I am doing. I started walking, I started talking, I started saying things to people and I told young people.

There is no way if you really believe, I am asking you one question, if you really believe there is a God you think God is creating nuts only? So imperfect God is? So horrible His workshop is? If we are all creation of God that means what a bad, bad artist God is! That is not true. God created us in His own image. We say that but we don't believe it. If God has created us as us, as His version then believe me we are no different than God. And as combined whatever we create that is what creation creates and that is what Creator relates to.

There is no big difference between God and people of God. And in God we trust that is how this land is basically based upon. And today what we trust? We trust in our jobs, we have trust in our psychiatrists, we have trust in our love affairs, we have trust in our restaurants, and we trust booze the most to drink like a it's a nectar from Almighty God. Martini has taken place of rosary. These are the basic human problems today. I remember those days when people used to sing Hallelujah. I remember those days in Churches when people used to (?) and the whole congregation used to sing. Once mother superior asked me, she said, "You come as a boy from different faith."

I said, "Ma'am, you are very old, but you are very sick."

"You are asking me?"

I said, "Yeah, I am telling you. You think I am a little boy grounded in the ground and you are very tall with all this tent around you but you are very sick, you have totally hurt me."

She said, "How come?"

I said, "You have told me you come from a different faith." I said, "Madam, faith is faith and nothing else. You have not yet learned what faith actually means. Faith is when you don't fake anything. That is what faith is. And now you are telling me I am from different faith, may I know from which faith you are?"

She said, "My apology, you are too much."

(Students laugh)

"I am not too much; I am just as much as you needed me to be. Now tell me what you are going to talk about faith?"

She said, "No, no, no, I don't mean different faith I mean to say you are from faith."

So she took away the difference, I said, "Thank you, what else?"

Can you understand I was just second grade little kid? She said, "I want to know what did you find in our Christianity that we are even coming in India and teaching Indians the Christianity and you are the son of a executive and you chose to be in our school?"

I said, "Your songs."

She said, "What do you mean?"

I said, "From Christianity take away the songs, which you sing in Church and I can tell you, you will be over taken by another religion. So long you shall sing, you shall remain with Christ, moment you stop it you will be gone with the wind. And at that time I never saw that movie."

(Students laugh)

And finally you know I used to meditate you know and one day my sister in charge of the house put a complaint and I learnt I have to go for a beating and I don't like canes you know, it's not very pleasant to me. So I was told that today I'll be caned, but I said, "Who is going to do it to me?"

They said, "Mother Superior!"

I said, "Oh forget it! She is not going to do anything."

So I went, that was a courtroom where she was sitting and I was presented so and so, son of so and so, and I don't go to the chapel. I go always late and my attendance is very poor. "Do you agree to this charge?"

I said, "Yes."

"Why?"

I said, "You have to stop ringing this bell."

She said, "Why? What do you mean by ringing this bell?"

I said, "When this bell rings I was told it's a call of God. It closes my eyes and sit down and meditate, when it stops I start... that makes me late."

(Students laugh)

I said, "I am not a nut who should listen to the beautiful call and music of God from heavens and start walking to that room where you are all sitting with a ego and marking everybody who is who, who is who." I said, "I am being marked by somewhere where from this sound comes, period. Now you want to ask me to bend and be beaten or you want my hands out, what do you want?"

She said, "You are too much!"

"I told you I am not too much, as much as I should be!"

(Students laugh)

So they did a thing, they told me next week or a Sunday I'll ring the bell. I said, "Okay." You know what a kid needs more than that? So I got myself with the knot and started dancing. They wanted me to get tired it was two p.m. that they have to come and request to stop ringing the bell because whole town started calling what is going on. And I was still in a ecstasy of joy I remember, I had really that experience, which I got by ringing that big bell. In our mind we are not limited, human machine is the most beautiful machine ever could have been created because it can feel, experience and express Infinity that is God. It's not a small thing. Our body cycle is eighteen years, our intelligence cycle is eleven years, our conscious cycle is seven years.

That's why in Christ conscious religion of Christianity, Seven is a very prominent number because the level of conscious will change every seven years, in intelligence we change after every eleven years, in physical body and needs and desire we change after every eighteen years. That's why you get divorced because after eighteen years you are a different person in the same bag. So what are the values first eighteen years are not in your second eighteen years, not in the third eighteen years, but if you push the same value you are off the record. So basically GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. NanakGuru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. saw all that coming. GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. NanakGuru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. says,

"Paataalaa Paataal LakhLakh 100,000. Aagaasaa Aagaas"

When you are thinking that land is flat at that time GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. NanakGuru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. said,

"Paataalaa Paataal LakhLakh 100,000. Aagaasaa Aagaas, Oarhak Oarhak Bhaal Thakay Vayd Kahan Ik Vaat, Sehas Athaarah Kahan Kataybaa Asuloo Ik Dhaat, Laykhaa Ho-I Taa Likhee-Ai Laykhai Ho-I Vinaas, Naanak, Vadaa Aakhee-Ai Aapay Jaanai Aap."

He sealed it; he said there are worlds and worlds and underworlds and underworlds and underworlds. There are skies and heavens and heavens and heavens; this world is totally nothing but Infinity. Some say there are seven, some say there are eighteen, some say they don't know a thing. Only the Creator knows what He has created and He has created so huge and big, He rejoices the hugeness of it. Nanak, if I can have the account, I'll try to do the account, why to be a foolish and start accounting? Very simply said. But in that saying there is a computed sense of the tongue of the lingam in the union. In this scale, this pestle and mortar, which has been provided to us to create the sound, the sound has a permutation and combination of words to manufacture that affect on consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. and to stimulate your brain cells to get to that vast Infinite horizons of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. .

That is the basic secret of the Sikh way of life. It is a combination of unification of the finite in experience of Infinity through the rotating of the key and key is the holy word. And that is what we were sharing through music and through poetry with you this morning. There are going to be mental problems to lot of people, neither the mental hospital... they can't even handle it today. Psychiatrists and psychologists do not know what to do. They are trying to handle professionally. YogisYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. and swamisSwami Master. have come from India to sell meditationsMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. . They are unable to handle it also. Churches and Synagogues and Temples have started thinking new techniques and new technology. After all what has gone wrong? One simple thing. We don't trust in God anymore. I tell you and share with you one thing. I watched this election. Neither Ford said 'I am grateful to God in His name I tried and I have lost the election.' Neither Jimmy Carter kneeled down and said 'thank you Lord for making me capable to do Thy will.' They were thankful to their wives and to their children and to their family, one was thankful to bananas, others was to peanuts.

(Students laugh)

What we are up to? What is our future? What we will do? Is God a closed chapter for us or it is a living reality for us? That's all I want you to think today. That's all I want you to share with me. That's all I stand for. I have walked through this land and I have walked all time. I go almost in every town and every city, I have visited Europe, I have visited oriental Japan, Hong-Kong, I went this time Alaska, I found everywhere there is a feeling among people 'where we have gone wrong?' Answer is a simple thing; we have forgotten to sing our sacred and our sacred songs. We don't do it anymore. In a Synagogue a canter comes and he is a (?) and ask the young people 'what is he doing?' He says, 'well he is howling.' I asked somebody, I said, "Do you understand what he is doing?"

He said, "He is howling."

Nobody told that young man that his tongue is rotating on his meridians and he is now... for few minutes you do it as a practice afterwards you just get into it, you get lost! You get cleaned out! Now it is a very few professional people who can do that. I remember in those days when I used to visit Churches everybody used to sing. Everybody! And now if ask the Americans sing their national song they say, 'what, which one?' As we have got lot many. But that is where GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. NanakGuru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. gave us the gift. In ten bodiesTen Bodies We are all spiritual beings having a human experience. In order to have this experience the spirit takes on 10 bodies or vehicles. They are the Soul Body, the three Mental Bodies (Negative, Positive, and Neutral Minds), the Physical Body, Pranic Body, Arcline Body, Auric Body, Subtle Body, and Radiant Body. Each body has its own quality, function, and realm of action. when it came to GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Tej Bahadur Ninth Guru of the Sikhs. Tej BahadurGuru Tej Bahadur Ninth Guru of the Sikhs. , GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Tej Bahadur Ninth Guru of the Sikhs. Tej BahadurGuru Tej Bahadur Ninth Guru of the Sikhs. never lost his life because he was being (?) by himself because it was for the faith of the entire Hindus of India. When the Mogul empire and Mogul emperor became fanatic he said, "Whosoever shall not be Muslim shall be... this is my decree." So they came and asked him and he answered the call in a very simple way, "Emperor convert me to Islam they shall all follow you."

Tortured, teased, tempted, nothing worked out and finally he was beheaded. But he gave the humanity a lesson... get broken but don't bend to be bowed. It was that practical lesson. Suffering is nothing but to be a coward is a suffering forever. If you can be taken away from your faith, you shall live always seeking that back and forth. But the problem today because we do not know what our faith is. We are running around in insanity. And to that grace we were giving a living GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. where we don't bow to the man. This is first time on this planet a man bows to the word of God and not to another man. That's why as Sikhs we have simple things to do. We rise before the Sun rises because after Sun rise every fool has to rise for the day, so rise before the Sun rises, meditate on God and praise the Lord. Simple! Which Lord? Your Lord, my Lord, our Lord, by Lord, everything is just by Lord. Work through the sweat of brow, come evening and share with people your love and your rejoicing of the day and do service.

Service is our motivated principle, service is expression of love, service is expression of prosperity, service is expression of unity, service is expression of higher consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. , service is all man can do on this Earth and that is our motivated, SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. . Selfless service for which God the Creator shall reward us not the human being. Through that legacy we have this Mahadeva AshramAshram , Aashram A community of practitioners who come together to live conscious, mindful lives. where we work on people in drug rehabilitation. Where we work people, feed people who need good meals, where we serve people when they are hurt and they are depressed by the society. Then we can with all our limited means we take them in. They are mental disturbance, we are not a mental hospital, they are fantasies, we are not psychiatrists. They have a highly disturbed mind...
