...I am trying to finish this series so that I can be with you. We are talking a self defeat a concept, that's the subject we are closing down.

The class sings: "May the long time sunshine upon you..."

Blessed is my soul and confinement in my ribcage. Blessed is my radiance which is connected with Almighty God. Blessed is my existence which is a guarantee of an experience and possibility of uplift of my soul. Blessed is me which can serve (?) values of service. Blessed is me in my humble spirit and in my meek prayers I find the existence of God in every cell of my being. Blessed is the infinity to which I look to and find all creatures created with the creativity of my Creator which belongs equally to me as to all. It is in that oneness I am blessed tonight and may I be blessed forever and (?).

YB: Ladies sing the song of a noble woman again.

The class sings: Noble is virtue of the....

YB: All participate.

It's a simple message in this (?) living your truth is?

Student: (-------)

YB: But the problem is you have to find the truth.

We'll continue this concept of self defeat and self conquer through caliber of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. and punishment. If God willing next week I hope you will value these notes and sometime read into them and try to understand, it's a science and you have to graduate and master in the spiritual world as you have to do it in any other area. Don't neglect it because without the flow of the spirit and mastery of the spirit you will never be a happy person. You can have everything else but without the mastery of spirit joy will not touch you.

Now we are asking for a happy birthday to Baba Singh. Look at that beautiful light and cake coming.

(Students' laughter...)

The class sings: Happy birthday to you...

The class sings: "May the long time sunshine upon you..."

(Students' laughter...)

Baba Singh has come very long way with us. I tell you, I tell you the rate of progress.

(Students' laughter...)

Sometime Premka...

(Students' laughter...)

Good, good, good, I am going to tell you a story.

(Students' laughter...)

(Student's clapping)

I want to tell you the progress of this man which I am going to record tonight. Baba Singh?

Baba Singh: Haa JiJi Soul; used as an endearment or sign of respect. .

YB: What was the payment of the bill yesterday night on your party?

Baba Singh: Hundred and eighty-eight dollars.

YB: Yesterday we went to a party, it was his birthday party and it was one hundred eighty-eight dollars we spent. And Baba Singh started when we are used to asking him to make a telephone call, he said, "Would you please give me a nickel?

(Students' laughter...)

And Premka will say, "What for?"

"Well. Yogiji has told me to make a call, would you just give me the money to do that?"

So from that ten cents to one hundred and eighty-eight dollars it's a long way.

(Students' laughter...)

Isn't it, now you can have cake.

(Students' laughter...)

And may you have many, many, more.

Side-B

This is one of the sad day I wan to share with you. This is first time that United States of America's embassy has been occupied and United States of America doesn't know what to do.

Student: (-------)

YB: What do you mean by you do not know that? Good, that's very good way. So, what we are going towards and what we will be we have to really understand that. I have no comments on that. I am just sharing with you your insanity. Because you are insane as Americans. You have gone below the average of a human spirit because you think everything what you think is going to be all right, you can do anything moral, immoral, ethical, unethical, committed, uncommitted and everything will be all right. That's not the way it is.

We have on our records that greatest civilization was the Chinese civilization. When they came to this point that everybody knows us what we want, we have every discovery, we are acknowledged people. What happened with them was thousands of years of slavery came to them.

Then after Chinese there was a great civilization, Indian civilization. It went the same way. Chinese went by the opium, Indians went by Marihuana, Egyptians went by peyote and Romans went by booze. You have all the four God bless you, I have got, no, nothing to get upset. But what is happening is on every solstice time we read George Washington's (?). He has described the very well what he saw and between one and a half centuries whatever he wrote in that paper has come true. Now it is the end of the second century, you will get it in the neck anyway, but I am trying to tell how untogether as a nation we are. Today president of United States of America is not in a position to decide to execute what he wants do to. You are asking for help. That can show you where you are.

What we are talking about is the subject which is a very vital subject to the spiritual uplift and that is the conflict and conflict to assess our self, you understand the pros and cons and then to make a decision and then go in. And conflict is the essential part of the spiritual world. Because conflict will give you comprehensive idea who you are. If your intellectually intelligence does not give you a comprehensive point of view, you can't survive. Your decisions will not be right, your project will not accomplish payments, you will not have a standard base on which you can be proud of your achievements, your character values will be totally compromised by temptation and by other worldly pressures. Why this happen? We tie in this painting which I brought which I showed you yesterday and I have put it on that side of it. The title of this painting is restriction. It's a very mighty man with a winged horses, the sword is broken, he is tied in and horse is tied in but on the top there is a image what really he was. Between these two calibers we get restricted, we cannot experience infinity, we can't handle stress, we cannot handle strain, we cannot handle pressure, because we do not have faith.

In a very popular word, do you remember the name of the British general who defeated Napoleon?

Student: Wellington.

YB: Wellington. He said, one word very beautiful, he said, "Victory comes to faith and not to the imperial forces."

And that is where he gave a defeat to Napoleon, though Napoleon was a very sincerely superior in the army, and in the fight and in the nationalist character. But there was a lack of faith. And somebody questioned how you can, how you can prove it?

And Wellington said in a very simple words, he said, "We have tradition of faithful soldiers."

Handful of people live by tradition. Because then there is a characteristic explained example under what circumstances to do what. When somebody challenges your character, you have to come to understand whether you want to barter your character values with benefit or not. It is exactly like today we are bartering our values with our character as a Americans because we are controlled by the oil company. There is a very strong lobby, we are slave to our own lobbies. We are not free, handful of corporations control our decisions, our national character, is being bartered. It can happen to individual also. I am using this as an example today, because it fits in with the subject. Individual also can exactly be this way. Greed is very limiting, very non-productive, very non-creative, and very annoying, greed is the most itchy subject because greedy will never enjoy even the fruit what he achieves. Greed is like a fire you go on putting more wood it burns more and more, it burns more, it burns more, more you put in more it consumes.

GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. NanakGuru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. met Karan. Karan was a (?) Karan was (?) collected gold and silver (?) you know what a gunj is? If you stand at one point and you pull an arrow and you go all the way and from that point you go this way and such four corners you measure by the length and breadth of the space by the power as much arrow you can throw and then you stand in the center and throw the arrow and as high it can go you build up a store room like that, it is called gunj.

This guy had so much lust for gold that he once said, "I will marry my daughter to anyone who can bring one piece of gold." So he wanted to see did I clean up all my subject well or not. Nobody showed up, there was a young man, he said, "I want to marry the princess mom, is there any way you can produce a gold coin?"

And she said, "Yeah."

In our tradition we don't put our elders into the graveyard without putting a gold piece in (?) in their mouth and in the grave of your grandfather if you pull the grave out from his mouth you can pull the gold piece."

So he went to the graveyard of his grandpa opened it up and from the mouth he found a gold piece, he put it out, closed it up, came back.

And went to the court and said, "According you emperor, according your declaration I have this gold piece, now marry the daughter to me."

The emperor said, "Yes. There is no gold piece with anybody, tell me from where you got it, you must have stolen from the (?) treasury."

He said, "No, not at all."

He said, "Then, genuinely prove it."

He said, "In the grave, my mother told me like this in the graveyard of my grandmother, grandfather I pulled it, it is in our family and that's where (?)."

"I'll see whether your claim is true or not, meanwhile you go to prison."

And every grave of every elderly person was dug out. When that tragedy happened GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. I have something to give it to you. And after death if you meet again you handover this to me."

He said, "What is that?"

Student: (-------)

YB: Benefits, people who do not live a character they should not live, they live in shame. They live in shame in here, they live in shame hereafter. Because character is a commitment, nothing will prove your soul, the only strength which your soul will have to depend and lean on is your commitment and that is what your character is.

Like Wellington said, victory comes to?

Student: Faith.

YB: Faith. There was a tremendous amount of commitment. People who run away from life, run away from commitment, the cause doesn't matter, what because of stress, because of this, because of insanity, because of this, they are not people, you don't call them people. They become very popular as runaways, because your first introduction to any man is your judgment, your opinion, what opinion he has about you, second is what is your credit, what is your social credit, what type of person you are.

Do you understand when I came in this country was it written on my forehead I am a holy man? Was there a billboard on my head I was carrying or my nose was special which has been predicted in the scriptures? Was there anything? No, I still remember I used to wear a pink turban, that's all I one had and I was to wear it all the time, because there was no turban anywhere else. I had a bush shirt which was loaned to me and I used to wash it almost after two weeks, because there was no time to do that. And I had a ordinary pant, these American pants which are miserable to wear.

(Students' laughter...)

Though somebody bought them quite with a great service to me, first of all my size pants were not available and when they had them in few days I really understood what they do to a person.

(Students' laughter...)

They have custom made, one who has a, who has a habit to wear a custom made clothing and then the tailor and the tailor is known for centuries and that person gets to be here becomes a yogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. and wears a shirt which eats up the armpit and wears a pant which totally rubs up every hair on the thigh and creates a eczema.

(Students' laughter...)

You can well understand what is going on.

(Students' laughter...)

But you just laugh and smile and say it's the will of the God. And then couple turban you have got you tell somebody just to pull it for you and half comes in your hand and half of the person pulls away.

(Students' laughter...)

Those were the days when I used to walk in here and there was a very simple place where we used to get our scene together and teach a little yoga class and meet people and say hi.

Actually to be very honest people at that time used to like me after few lectures or meeting with me. They always expected me to look special. And it is in my character I don't want to look special. Because I know who special is. And I feel and know and understand experience that special one so near to me I don't care, how do I look. And my feeling then was very unique and my feeling today is the same.

In those days I wanted.... I always love to wear cotton. Cotton is a human dress, it's wonderful for body, it's wonderful for life, it's wonderful for skin. Cotton is one of the most precious gift God ever gave to man. (?) we never used to find what cotton is, here they say cotton is in Egypt.

I said, "God in America people do grow cotton, what happens to it?"

And the only cotton one day somebody brought with him a joke, you know the candy cotton?

(Students' laughter...)

One day I was really questioning someone very seriously, I said, "There must be some cotton."

He said, "Okay Yogiji I'll bring it tomorrow for you."

And he came in the class with a big two cottons and I said, "What is this raw cotton?"

He said, "No, eat it."

And then I found it was that candy cotton which the children like. And that was another joke. But God there was no problem, there was a very relaxed state of mind. Because basically a engrinded character has one beauty, it has a value in experience to godhood. There was no PR but there was a definite, absolutely a faith. And when I used to sing that song, one day the day shall come when all the glory shall be thine, people should say your, I shall deny not mine.

Nobody believes it. I used to tell ShaktiShakti The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature. , ShaktiShakti The creative power and principle of existence itself. Without it nothing can manifest or bloom. It is feminine in nature. learn how to multiply and divide because one day you will write thousands of dollars (?).

She said, "Thousands of dollars? When?"

I said, "Soon."

"What we are going to be?"

I said, "One day we are going to be greatest nation."

He said, "When?"

I said, "It is written in the destiny."

There is nothing to know, because Creator has a creativity to create and creativity creates the environments and circumstances in which we all work it out. People who have earned faith are committed, people who have not earned faith can try to commit. Because faith builds the base of every characteristic which builds a character. Do you understand my statement? Faith is the source of every victory. All great men had faith in their performance.

I remember the story when Manchuria fell before Japan, Japanese knew that Manchuria wants to attack Japan. So decision was what to do? The Japanese decided, Japanese emperor decided before Manchuria attacks us we should attack Manchuria. It's a historical fact. And he ordered the Japanese forces to land. Japanese forces landed and they wanted to attack, but they were surprised to find out one-third of Manchuria there was not a single soldier to defend the land, so they walked in. But they never knew they are walking into a trap. When they found out, they found a big huge canal dug in which they can't cross. The general asked his advisor, "How much time it will take us to built a bridge over this canal with our equipment?"

The man said, "Two weeks."

The general said, "What the Manchurians are going to do in those two weeks?"

He said, "They are flanking us around and they are going to cover the ocean and we shall die in two weeks absolutely in circle, it's a trap which they are laying up."

The Japanese general said, "Put the regiments into order of attack."

The army was put in order of attack and the order was given march. It's a recorded history that four thousand people fell and filled up that pit and rest of the army walked over them and when the Manchurian found out because they were flanking on the sides therefore, the entire country was occupied by the Japanese army. Well, victory is always victory when the general came down, the Japanese said, "You got four thousand people killed."

He said, "Thank God it was only four thousand, none of the single person would have been saved."

Because there was a faith in people, you need a faith to live and faith to die. Your life will be not happy if you have no faith to live, your death will not be happy you have no faith to die. You will not be a human if you have no faith to be a human. Faith is the fundamental and what is faith?

It is the connection between your radiant body and your physical body. Your radiant body is your tenth body, the connection with the radiant body and your physical body is what constitute the faith, because when radiant body penetrates outwards it glorifies you, when it penetrates inwards through the auric body, through the subtle bodySubtle Body See Ten Bodies. , through the arc body, into the physical body, then the physical body has no power to stop it therefore, it penetrates the mental body and neutralizing it, it enters your soul. That is why you might have been hearing I am enlightened, so and so is enlightened man, enlightened man remember is that who is the radiant body, the last body of this body has inwards capacity to contact the spiritual body, which is the nucleus of your whole life. And therefore, the radiant body has the power to radiate outwards and as well to radiate inwards. And it is the story of the enlightened one, you don't get enlightened. You are so crazy I tell you to wear white cotton and dress always white, you are so crazy, you even can't do it, and you want to be spiritual (?). Something which will give you a connecting filter, you think I am joking. I am not joking, I am just telling you scientifically what you should do. I am talking science you are talking with me emotions. I am talking fact, you are talking commotions, I am talking with you experience and you are talking with me neurosis. You are crazy, I know that. I want you not to be, you need some tools for help and the help you can have is that you can do your yoga, you can eat your right food, you can wear your right clothes and you can walk like a person.

Sir, my clothes get dirty. Yeah,

"Moot paleetee kaparh ho-i. Day saaboon la-ee-ai o-hu Dho-i bhariye math papa ke sang oh topey navego."

If your clothes get bad, says Nanak, take the soap and clean up, but if your body becomes bad, ugly then meditate on God and clean them, what a simple approach.

"Moot paleetee kaparh ho-i. Day saaboon la-ee-ai o-hu Dho-i."

If the cloth becomes dirty take a soap and clean.

Bhariye math papa ke sang-First is the directive, don't dirty yourself with bad deeds, and what is bad deeds? Don't barter?

Student: Character values.

YB: Character values for benefit.

When you do that you are ugly, you are dirty, you are sick, you are neurotic, you are hopeless, you are characterless, you are inhuman, anything you want me to say. All filthy words in English dictionary befit you. Because you are bartering your character values for benefit. And benefit, who is going to enjoy that benefit? If people do not remember you as a great man, what you, your wealth and your power and your everything else is? Your basic greatness is required. You have to survive through every (?) temptation and nuisance. You have to prove you are not greedy, you have to prove you are not a manipulator, you have to prove that you are a man of your words, you have to prove that you have a character. Every goodness in you needs to be proved. That's the fundamental requirement.

Why can't you do it then? Why we have a defeatist policy, why we defeat ourselves? We know what to do, why couldn't do it? Because we are not trained, we don't have a character, we have not satSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. down with a learned to learn how the learned can learn and experience the life and its values.

We learn how to make money, we learn how to deal with stock market, we learn how to become a doctor, we learn how to become a attorney, we learn how to become a real estate person, we are willing to pass every examination except one examination, we are not willing to pass that examination how to become a man of character, how to become a man of spiritual integrity.

A man came with a four load of gold, came to a holy man, offered him, "Sir this is my offering."

He blessed it, he said, "Sonny, thank you, take it away."

He said, "What?"

"Take it away."

He said, "Sir, I brought a present to you."

He said, "Yeah, that's all right I have accepted, blessed it, now take it away."

"You don't accept charity?"

He said, "No."

"Why?"

"The God gives me what He wants, I don't accept these kinds of stuff, that's just a metal."

He said, "Hey I am the greatest man, I have done charity beyond even description."

Then the holy man said, "I have refused charity beyond description."

(Students' laughter...)

"You have done charity beyond description, I have refused charity beyond description. You brought this gold load to me as a charity, and I have refused to you but only tell you I shall not barter character values for a benefit. I don't need any benefit."

Nobody of you need any benefit. Benefit means you; if benefit not (?) to you how benefit will be appreciated, do you understand? And I am asking you a very simple question, what use is that wealth, that power and that your manipulation is if you cannot enjoy the juice of it.

I have seen people they work whole morning, 9 o'clock to 9 o'clock, 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock and they can't sleep. Then they take sleeping pill.

I am very surprised, in Washington D.C I met this woman, what a tragedy. Thirty-seven years old woman and she said in very two simple words to me, "Sir, what you want to tell me to do I will do."

I said, "Lady, I want to tell you not to ask me I should tell you anything."

"Why?"

I said, "Because my dear lady you are a creep."

(Students' laughter...)

"But sir I hope you can change me."

I said, "No, God needs some creepy."

(Students' laughter...)

"And I'll not interfere with the will of God."

(Students' laughter...)

"I love you as a creep."

(Students' laughter...)

"You mean there is no hope for me?"

I said, "It is very hopeful that you are going to be a perfect creep."

(Students' laughter...)

"You are a thirty-six year old creep and life is going to be pretty long and you will long live the creep."

"You can burn a whole fire, but you need a pilot."

I said, "My darling lady there is no space of that pilot left in you."

"What should I do?"

I said, "Yes, there is one thing which can turn around everything hundred and eighty degree; it is called jap, the science is jap. When you become successful you should do jap, that will eat up the defeat."

Defeat can be eaten up by Japa, because Japa is repetition of that holy NamNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before.
