... Hi Manjit, how are you? Feel good? Oh when did I have that? When did I... why I am always right!

(Students laugh)

And I am always considered wrong, what wrong I do? They are all... there cannot be... somebody has drawn that (?) and drawn them from the very inner heart. So that's the best reason (?) whether they are good or they are better that I don't know. So I can just (?) and you are still alive after that paper. Do you really want to know how much we have to know to be human? Have you ever understood it? Do you understand there is a so much sophisticated about us if we don't know about it we blow it? Now tell me honestly. How many of you have ever evaluated yourself by your own honest reaction? You are supposed to go through the self-evaluation everyday, that's called SadhanaSadhana , Saadhana A spiritual discipline; the early morning practice of yoga, meditation, and other spiritual exercises. The Aquarian Sadhana can be an individual or group practice; Ideally, it includes the recitation of Japji Sahib, a Kundalini Yoga kriya, and chanting the Aquarian Sadhana meditations, immediately followed by Gurdwara. According to Yogi Bhajan, the potency of any Kundalini Yoga and meditation practice will be enhanced in a group setting. . You are not one side God one side you, on other side devil or inferiority of you, superiority of you or you. Superior, inferior and you. Between three, you have to assess yourself. But there is the highest state of achievement of human being. At least we come last four days and that's why I am trying to wake up.

You know one (?) that singer lady; she had given five million dollars to SwamiSwami Master. Suchetanand almost to build that Temple of lotus. Single one person and she was sitting that day. I have never seen a person in so much gratitude and when she spoke she spoke, "I am so much happy" she said, "That you accepted it." And when that evening he sang songs and there is a girl you know she knows Bhartanatyam she went around this whole country and collected almost a million dollars to build that Temple of lotus and those people have worked hours and hours and hours. It's a thousand acre, it's almost two square miles and I saw them working and everybody wanted approval from me because they know how political I am... I mean they all understand and among those holy people to sit to enjoy when I did my prayer I whished you should have a copy of it. Nobody cares it our people are very efficient. Forget it! But you know when I came back I didn't know what I said and they said, "We all talk, you did the prayer."

I said, "Really?" I am asking them to send me those two (?) so that you can have it for future generation; I know you don't care what I say. I have compromised with it, I have compromised that America cannot be as treacherous as it is. America has to wake up to certain reality of God. America cannot afford self-destruction. We cannot afford self-hatred, we cannot afford self-indignity, we can't. It's not possible. We can spend millions of dollars on Statue of Liberty and we love it, we adore it, it's our national thing and we have no liberty from our own inferiority complex, our own fear. So what's the question I asked you?

Students: (-----)

YB: Come on be (?).

Students: (-----)

YB: What?

Students: Gratitude!

YB: Gratitude, that's fun, go ahead, next.

Student: Know yourself.

YB: Great, what else?

Students: (-----)

YB: Good, what else?

Student: (----)

(Students laugh)

YB: Great, what else?

Student: (----)

YB: God realization. Come on!

Student: (----)

YB: Yeah.

Student: (----)

YB: They will do, correct yourself. Go ahead.

Student: (----)

YB: Sacrifice.

Student: (----)

YB: Keep up.

Student: (----)

YB: Fearlessness. Yeah?

Student: (----)

YB: Compassion.

Student: (----)

YB: Longing to belong. Go ahead.

Student: (----)

YB: Tolerance.

Student: (----)

YB: True devotion.

Student: (----)

YB: (?) anything else?

Student: (----)

YB: That's it.

Student: (----)

YB: I was getting very disappointed.

(Students laugh)

STAND BY YOUR WORD! "In the beginning there was a word, word was with God and word was God." Whatever word you speak, understand it. And what we do it, we say, 'well, I said it under these circumstances and now I am saying it under these environments.' You understand what I mean? You know what that is?

Students: (-----)

YB: That is the worst treachery ever you can do against your own soul. You don't have to harm anybody. Between two God is the witness, between the word is the communication of comments, it is the cement, it is the foundation and when you change for some greed, some fear, some insecurity, some reality, some... doesn't matter what. That very change you pay through the cost of incarnations. And you know there is no redemption about it. Doesn't matter you are Christian, you are a Sikh, you are a Hindu, you are a Muslim, you are blonde, you are black, you are Chinese, you are Spanish, you are this, does not matter at all. There is no redemption. Your interpretation is right or your interpretation is wrong, that has nothing to do with it. You are okay or you are not okay, that's nothing to do with it. You said it, you did it, you live it. Three states. You?

Students: Said it.

YB: You?

Students: Did it.

YB: You?

Students: Live it.

YB: And that's it, there is no fourth situation. There is no compensation. Why you did it? I don't know. Why you said it? I don't know. And why don't you live it now? I don't know that either. Because when you said it you did it, you lived it, that is called Akashic record and that cannot change.

You can change as much you want. By saying Jesus and handing him over for thirty pieces of silver, Judas didn't do much good. He couldn't do better, he could have charged sixty piece of silver that would have been handy, watch this and Peter could have denied him three times or six times before the crow of the rooster and Chandu could have totally freed GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Arjun, Chandu the Governor could have freed GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Arjun because the king gave the punishment and left up to him whether he can collect the penalty or he can go through the process. But those things at that time suits you. But in ultimate reality those who stand steadfast to their word in understanding to the meaningful means and to the meaningful commitment of their word they only get honored in the court of the word and the court of the God and the court of the Lord. Not those who are yoyos. Friday they are different, Saturday they are different, Monday they say something different. Things happen and there is anything wrong about it.

Every wrong is to test the, what you call the grit. Every right is to test the kindness. When you are absolutely right and righteous, are you kind? And when you are absolutely wrong, absolutely wrong, I am not saying there is any iota of wrong, you are absolutely wrong, are you conscious? Can you go through it? Because when you are absolutely wrong, still beyond that absolutely wrong there is Infinity, there is a compassion, there is a totality. I tell you something, I am not trying to put you down and don't take my words as personal. You don't know how to live as a human, none of you. I have started this research about humanity and what people are and science of humanologyHumanology A complete system of psychology to promote human excellence and spirit. It incorporates the technology of Kundalini Yoga and meditation, the use of the Shabd Guru, and the principles of spiritual counseling. I think people are not human. They look like human, they feel they are human.

"Zafar Uss Insaan Ko Kya Kahiye."

Zafar was a ruler, last king of the Mogul Empire. Very Divine person, used to sing in ecstasy. In one of the couplet he says,

"Zafar Uss Insaan Ko Kya Kahiye, Jisey Aish Mein Yaadein Khuda Na Rahi, Jisey Taish Mein Khaufey Khuda Na Raha."

When he finishes with this line the entire essence of humanity, he says, "Oh Zafar what to talk of that person, in happiness who has not remembered God and in anger who was not afraid of God!" Jisey Aish, Aish means when you are everything you are celebrating, everything you are enjoying, then everything goes according to you. At that moment if dedication is not towards God and when you are angry, blaming, angry, bitchy, neurotic, whatever, trauma, tantrum, whatever you call and you don't has remembrance of God. What to say? There is nothing to say. It's not the way. And now you assess yourself into these two conditions.

You know you can become holy, you can chant scripture, you can be very intelligent, you can live very righteous, you can be very graceful; you can... if you want to impress something you can go ahead and do it. It doesn't take time. But you and God, and God and you have become one? No. Because God is Infinity. And any time when you are finite, you are not God. You are good, you are better, you are best. I have no doubt about it. You are beautiful, you are wonderful, you are rich, you are powerful, you are the mightiest, you are the highest; whatever you want to say, go ahead. Add any adjective and also qualify with it, well I have a character, I have a commitment, I have a SadhanaSadhana , Saadhana A spiritual discipline; the early morning practice of yoga, meditation, and other spiritual exercises. The Aquarian Sadhana can be an individual or group practice; Ideally, it includes the recitation of Japji Sahib, a Kundalini Yoga kriya, and chanting the Aquarian Sadhana meditations, immediately followed by Gurdwara. According to Yogi Bhajan, the potency of any Kundalini Yoga and meditation practice will be enhanced in a group setting. , I chant the holy NamNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word. , I am a Sikh of the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. , I am dadadahdahdah... but when it comes to delivery are you going to deliver a snake or an angel? That decides who you are.

When life accepts you, you don't have compassion and when life challenges you, you don't have kindness, you have no life. None so ever. All this beauty and all this is all fake. It's day to day living. Animals live better than you. See sometime the bird making the nest, the coziness, the art, the science, the (?) on the end of the branch, on a absolute certain thickness, this little bird will make by one leaf by one leaf by one reed by one reed the nest. Eagle, which eats meat, which prey. When the chicken will be born will bring lot of green leaves to layer the inner of the nest. What great architect, draftsman birds they are! They understand, look, look, look, don't be foolish, watch me. They understand by their intuition the strength of the branch and the weight of the nest and the flexibility of the green and the life and the juice in it so their egg and their chick can grow and grow to fly. Now, you idiots, where is your intuition?

Where is your balance? What happened to your brain? It's a stone? 'My chemistry doesn't meet with my husband, we don't have any sexual satisfaction,' you bum bizarre business woman and man, children are not even your consideration. When I say, 'why you are divorcing him, could you give a second thought to it?' "No, no, no, Yogiji, I have listened to you twenty times." You have only the combination of how much piston works and how much steam is there, that's all you are. You don't have anything to do with that innocent child, which has grown up, which has been brought, which has a future, which has a tomorrow. "My husband called me or didn't call me, he loved me or he didn't love me, he is he is not, I am I am not..." look at this all jerk joke of life. Look at it and look around it and look at it with a mind and then let me know. Do they all fit in those little angels anywhere in your life? Not at all. You know there are certain things, which are very heavy in my mind. I asked one woman I said, "You are a Khalsa woman, right? Now children are grown up what you are going to do?"

She said, "No, no, I have one child I am going to bring her back." I said, "What to do?"

I(She) said, "Teach her what America is!"

She(I) said, "What she is going to learn?" She said, "She is going to learn how to mix drinks, she is going to learn how to cook meat, she is going to learn how to date, she is going to go learn how to get pregnant, how to have abortion, she is going to learn how to have boyfriends."

I said, "What?"

She said, "I went through it seven rounds and she must go at least three."

It is true, she went to India, she took her child out and she did what she said. Couldn't do a thing. You know I have nothing to say. There was warrants here and I asked the prosecutor, I said, "Look, this girl I have raised as a child, I have spent money, I know she is under age. I know and I know she can be arrested right from the school and taken and delivered to her mother. I fully understand. But could you for heaven sake you give her two more days and I will deliver her personally where she wanted her, just give me two days so she has one more paper, she can do it, so if she gets to pass high school that's all I want."

He said, "All right, you give me a word of honor that you will send her personally." And he said, "If that didn't happen I'll arrest you!"

I said, "That I know that that's all you can do."

Two days. I don't know where she is now; she used to come every year just to show up. This is the one year I didn't get to see. I don't know what happened to her. And one day somehow I crossed her mother and I said to her, I said, "Can you tell me why you did to your daughter what you did?"

She said, "If I ever get a chance to destroy you, I'll. Why my daughter was educated, why you did everything to her, why when I was going through all that pain why nobody took care of me?"

I said, "I was not there, what do I know what you went through?"

She said, "You know all." She said, "From age of fourteen to age of twenty-seven, till I met you, I had to prostitute myself to live. And whenever I talk to my daughter she said 'Yogiji this, Yogiji that!' I am going to tell his woman there is no such thing as Yogiji."

Fine, true, there is no Yogiji. The daughter is not here and she has not qualified the first year of college. I mean believe me or not we were looking around the colleges where she could go. Why you bring these children to this Earth, what for? To get even with them? Show them how obnoxiousness and ruthless and treacherous and tragic you are? I mean to say excuse me, I just came, I have got those two boys and I wanted to know how they are doing and what they are up to and they need attention, they are all right, they are not doing anything what they were supposed to be doing, they are progressively better. And I was told I am asking for another trouble. I said, "What trouble?"

And somebody said to me, "Another lawsuit!"

I said, "What lawsuit? These boys? I am now... they are going to attach me with boys? They are little ones."

She said, "You don't know what you are up to. These two little boys."

I said, "Okay, enough is enough, these two little boys, I have to take care of it." I can't believe they come back at three O' clock; they have nobody to go to. So what they do? They run into houses, they steal things, they mess around everything. They have done everything, which a rotten man can suppose to do. We are going to create that history? And nobody is going to have the guts because there can be a lawsuit? And I am going to be afraid of it? Oh well, they will steal everything from the ranchThe Ranch Yogi Bhajan's home just across the highway from the Aashram, and site of the Yogi Bhajan Memorial Birthday Celebration. . Then what? Let them steal the whole world. Perhaps they won't. I saw them right there they were hiding behind the dome, I said, "What were you doing there?"

"Oh we were taking a shelter."

I said, "No cheating, no stealing, did you do anything wrong?"

They said, "Yes, one little thing. One day we came one hour and a half intentionally late, number one. Second we do not work with a full capacity; we are just about eighty percent."

Then I said, "Look, what I expect from you to attend to be so holy that that the past record maybe removed."

They said, "We hope we will try that."

One is this much blonde, beautiful, the other one is just little skinny and just little taller than him. What you are going to do? Bring children and drop them? I read an article in the newspaper; I think I have asked SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. SimranSimran A deep meditative process in which the naam of the Infinite is remembered and dwelled in without conscious effort. to keep it. There is about... about... I don't know it's a million or hundred thousand, I'll check it out, figures are... there are lot of zeroes, parents bring children, give them five bucks, tell them at the gas station go and buy that stuff and then drove off. 'Hoo! What is haa?' You know how many are there? Nirinjan, can you do me a favor? Can you send my security officer and get that article, it's right with SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. SimranSimran A deep meditative process in which the naam of the Infinite is remembered and dwelled in without conscious effort. . I just kept it all along. I mean I think when I'll read it to you, I think you will learn better and there are facts and figures in that which I wanted to let you know. It is true what I am telling you.

It's a investigated report, it is not something that somebody just took LSD and wrote it. Parents come, give two dollars to five dollars to a child, tell him to go in that with gas station you know that there is a little stall? Haa? And tell him to buy something, he goes and then they drove off. Child comes from school to his house, he is dropped and every lock is chained and he cannot enter. To make a prostitute of her son, she tied him down outside the verandah with the staircase; he did not bring enough money to support her drug habit. The article said 'Children on sale!'

This is what is going on. They are twenty percent of the society. They influence sixty percent of the population. If child is not given the basic security that child cannot have the security. The child is very tangible human. What you do when you pack up glass and pack it and send, what is that red thing you put on? What you call it?

Students: (-----)

YB: Say it again.

Students: (-----)

YB: Now you have a mouth or not? Can you all speak that word?

Students: (-----)

YB: No, no, some of you are cheating, who didn't say it? Why not? Say you all.

Students: (-----)

YB: You understand what fragile means? That is your younger sister? Your younger brother everybody who is one second younger to you in the neighborhood. It is what?

Students: Fragile!

YB: And how to handle... you have learnt, I mean this camp is working. That I know. I have no regret; I mean to say I understand. I will go down the tube but I'll make you to once understand sensitivity as a human is the prosperity of tomorrow. As a human you can't let care go. You got to see things are very, very fragile! You know what I am saying? Children are very?

Students: Fragile.

YB: Bananas are very?

Students: Fragile.

(Students laugh)

YB: Popcorns are very?

Students: Fragile.

YB: Oh damn you, you make that popcorn in that machine you cover it all around. You take so much care of. Have you ever seen yourself making a popcorn? And when you have to give it to me that thing and the cheese and the whole thing should be so right and so caring, so accurate for the damn popcorn, but for the child? Nothing. 'I'll spank you!' 'Oh my God, I just sometime get a heart attack how can you say that?' 'Shut the door!' Jesus Christ! Look at this. She is a woman! 'You!' Oh my God, I can't sometime believe that. I sweat. She said you! That loud to those teeny-tiny ears? How many big ears? Fragile, little, have you understood you elephants? Have you ever thought of those little tiny ears that they can't hear that bombardment? What is this?

Student: (----)

YB: Yeah, it's... what happened to that article I gave her? It is in New York Times, some magazine section, I told her to put it in. I was in the aeroplane, I got it, I kept it and I wanted it. Oh this is a article in which you know you must have read a bad article all the time but there is a one good article and it's in Los Angeles Times, where they have compared us to bring in success and prosperity and inspiring people to goodness and that Denver Buddhist guy what is his name? Tenpa Rinpoche and YogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. Bahaan. Yeah. Good. Now this we will read later. That little heart, that little heart, right? Hey you egomaniacs, big ones, big skeletons, fifteen hundred dollars medical research price for your whole body when you are dead. Grown-ups, listen to this. That little heart, this little tiny heart, haa, little big like a what is this? This egg of a hen? Beats little, right? And when you yell and scream what happens to that? Who gave you that right to do it? Haa? Answer my question. Where is your permit?

Arey raise children with such love and sophistication, such care and such security and give them such intuitiveness and such love that they can be so proud of their identity, their intelligence, they will not never play games. Give them another chance. Who you want to give chance? Then what are you? Animals? You are children, you are my children too. Aren't you? Can't you give yourself a chance? Start today, give yourself a chance. Bring your elegance, your sophisticatedness, your grace, your reality. Bring it back. Whatever is lost can be brought back. Nothing is gone yet. So long the breath of life is there. You know this Gurujaan and Kaur, is she here? Oh yeah, her elder daughter what's her name?

Students: (-----)

YB: Yeah, now ask her to deal with her. If she does anything she says, "I am going to call Yogiji, what you going to do to me?" Look at this mother, she can't do a thing. You know she was about two-three years old when I used to eat her grapes and I'll give her one grape each time and count and count and I say, "No, up, you have eaten one hundred and eight grapes." And she will say, "What that means?"

I say, "You have that strength! You are that strong!"

"What that means?"

I say, "You will take no nonsense from anyone."

She said, "Will that please you?"

I said, "Sure."

"Another grape."

I didn't teach her anything more than that. I made her feed grapes, made her sit in my lap and just told her one thing. Now another wrong thing?

Student: (----)

YB: What?

Student: (----)

YB: You mean she threw it away?

Student: (----)

YB: Well, this is American disciple and there is no recourse to it. Well, however, take this away then... keep it to yourself. And when I go back call New York, ask him to buy the old paper and send it to me, fly to me through express daily, I must have it by tomorrow. So what we are talking?

Student: (----)

YB: Yeah, and now Gurjaan Kaur is sitting right here among you. Ask her to give Ong Kar bad time. Hey, hey, what is ego about it? Stand up! Can you do it?

Gurjaan: No sir.

YB: You have tried it!

Gurjaan: (----)

(Students laugh)

YB: It's true. She once tried it, she told her that you better behave otherwise you will have something you don't want it. Each child needs that strength. You know all this episode you have heard and GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. TeerathTeerath Sacred place. has talked to you, you know where it started? One child wrote me a letter, personal letter, said, "You are head of my religion, you are my minister, and I have a complaint against my mother. My father is kind of... and I want to be heard."

I re-approached the mother, I didn't do anything wrong. Because I talked to that child, mother decided to leave DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. , leave the whole thing and she told me, "This is what happened."

I said, "That's okay."

And when child told me, "What is your decision."

I said, "The decision is up to eighteen years I cannot interfere in your mother and now because you have provoked my intervention, she is going to let you leave the DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. and you will never be in a position to communicate with me ever thereafter."

She said, "That is true, but one day I'll be myself and I'll repay you for this. But I don't want to be spanked; I know she will create a hell for me and thank you sir."

And that was the beginning of this whole spin in which we are going to go through. That possessiveness... who gave you that right as a mother to treat that child as a piece of meat? I definitely remember, I mean people have little reverence for me when I called her and she said, "What is it?"

I said, "I want to tell you I have got a letter written letter from your son" and she said, "You sir, you are lying."

I said, "No, I am not lying, it's right before me in his hand and I have to speak to him."

She said, "You are going over parents."

I said, "No, I am not going over parents. I am doing my job."

She said, "No, he cannot come on the phone. He cannot talk to you. He has no right to write you letter. I am the beginning and I am the end."

Such a mother, such a butcher! What you can do? I am not denying that you don't have pain in your life, I don't know but why, why you want to get even with your own born, snake does that. You know it's the attitude of the snake when the little snakes come through, she makes a circle. Whosoever cross the circle lives, whosoever within the circle she eats. That's why we say "Sanpneee Khaye..." I am not saying psychiatrists and psychologists are not good. I am not saying that. I am not saying palmists and psychics are no good. I am not saying that. But I am asking you.

Are you so dumb that you don't understand some day you have to clean your weaknesses and bring your strength and be you? Don't you know what I am saying? How many times you can go to somebody? Are you ever going to be yourself? And ever you have a confidence that you can drop your weakness and pick up your strength and you can be you. That is called awakening, that's called enlightenment, that is called reality, that's called human. When you can put your roots to the Infinity and you can bring fruits of Infinity, life is Infinity to Infinity. Life is not reality to reality. Life is not God to God. Life is not truth to truth. Life is not light to light. These are kindergarten classes. Small things.

"Saach Kahu Sunliyo Sabey Jann, Jinn Prem Kiyo Thinn Hee Prabh Paayo."

Said GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. , say the truth, all human must listen; those who love they only find God and then love he describes.

"Jay Tho Hei Prem Khelan Ka Chaao, Sirr Tarr Talee Gali Miryav, Ith Maarag Peir Tarijiye, Sirr Deejiye, Kaan Na Keejiye."

If you want to play the game of love, walk into my streets with your head on the palm of your hand. And for walking on this path you should not hesitate to give me this offering. Between these two verses the totality of the Infinity to Infinity is not described but well connected, well understood and well lived. Four children died, mother came, "Lord, you are the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. , you are the RishiRishi Enlightened being; Yogi. Dushtdaman, you have the communication with the God direct, your prayer works, I have seen, I have lost my children, four."

"Char Muay Tho Kya Hua, Jeevith Kaee Hazaar, Inn Putran Kay Sirr Sey Vaar Diyo Suth Char."

I have sacrificed my four children over these children of mine. "Char Muay Tho Kya Hua Jeevith Kaee Hazaar." They are four; there are hundred thousand living, what are you... which son you are talking about? Ajith, Jujhar, Zorawar and Fateh? Those? Because they came out of your womb. Because they took the...

You are lamenting and crying?

"Inn Putran Kay Sirr Sey Vaar Diyo Suth Char."

My beloved beautiful children I have sacrificed over the head of these children. The four of mine have died, they all will live and then you stand up early in the morning and afternoon and whatever and you say ArdasArdas Prayer; the formal group prayer of the Sikhs. , those who get their children cut limb by limb and were garlanded, those who received their innocent born on the lances, BhaiBhai Brother. they were Sikh woman, if your child is just taken two minutes to just hugged and loved, you feel upset. Yeh Thudi ArdasArdas Prayer; the formal group prayer of the Sikhs. Hei, this is part of your prayer. Because at any time, at any space, when things don't belong to God, they don't belong to you either. But you live in that mirage, I know pressure works, it crystallizes. I know.

Every religion stops at sublimation, light and pure. Purity, piety and lightness. That's where Sikh Sikh Dharma A living experience of values as taught in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. DharmaSikh Dharma A living experience of values as taught in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Dharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. starts, crystallization, crystal to see through. 'Kids for sale.' Got it? Am I right? All right, very good, come on Dr. SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. Kripal Kaur. Oh no, I know, thank you. It works. I'll use her eyes; oh she needs the eyes too? Look at some young guys, somebody accurately, come on AmritAmrit , Aamrit The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa. . I think you will be all right; sometime you go crazy for things. Come on, read this. Come on quick. Good, sit down, sit down, sit down nicely.

Student reads a report: Across America there are tens of thousands of children, boys and girls working as prostitutes. You can find them in New York City loitering on the street corners of Times Square on the lower west side or in suburban middle-class areas like the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. Where until a recent raid by the Venice Police you could order up to a twelve year old girl for an (?) massage service or in a placid little town like Waterville, Maine, population eighteen thousand where fifteen year old girls occasionally hustle outside bars, on Temple and Water streets. Kids are for sale everywhere (?) they are continuing national tragedy of America's runaway and throwaway child population. Some programs help.

The exploitation of runaway and throwaway children continues to be a (?) national tragedy. Across America there are tens of thousands of children, boys and girls working as prostitutes. You can find them in New York City. In 1982 my colleague (?) circled America to chronicle fourth parade, "The plight of runaway and throwaway children." Four years later I traced roughly the same path down the east coast and up the west coast focusing on youngsters who have been forced into prostitution, their common opposition for survival. My findings, the population of runaways between a million and one point million Americans under eighteen leave home each year has remained about the same but social workers are seeing more children in the twelfth to fourteen age bracket. The kids are staying away from home long, resulting in a growing hardcore street population.

About one youngster in three is the so called throwaway, either a child fleeing intolerable home conditions or is not reported missing by his parents or one literally forced out of the house to fend for himself. Well, over half of the youngsters who have been on the streets for longer than a month become involved in prostitution, which may range from turning an occasional trick to regular daily hustling depending on their needs. Most of the young males say they are not (?) they are poorly informed about the dangers of catching and spreading AIDS. Fear of AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases is encouraging men to seek younger boys and girls as partners. Unlike neighborhood child molesters who are vigorously prosecuted, those who sexually play on street kids have little fear from the police because prosecuting (?) is a low priority.

Well, there has been progress in recent years, shelter and support programs remain inadequate considering the size of the problem, there are some first class programs run by extremely dedicated social workers but money is always short and volunteers are needed. Just how many juvenile prostitutes who are on the streets isn't known but Doctors Daniel Kempenger and Donald Pafenberg have used data provided by five hundred ninety-five police departments in fifty states, estimate there are between a hundred thousand and two hundred thousand adolescents and prostitutes with the medium age of fifteen. Other experts and observers except the two doctor figures published in their book sexual exploitation of children resource manual. But statistics don't convey the reality of life for these young street hustlers. They don't tell of the agony of a bewildered nine-year-old boy forced into prostitution by his mother.

The (?) this young, the victim was related by Judy Turner, a police officer who works in an unusual Miami-Dade County Task Force program that uses a novel approach in helping teenage prostitutes. Turner, a six year veteran patrols in plain clothes in an unmarked car with a social worker as her partner. When they spotted a youthful prostitute, they interviewed the youngster and arranged to get the child home. They visit and counsel the parents, clubbed the family into social service programs and follow up at regular intervals. The nine year old boy was the youngest we worked with. Turner, related as we cruised Biscayne Boulevard. His mother was a drug user, sending him out to get money to support her habit.

The neighbors told us that the boy would be forced to sleep on the front steps all night if he didn't come home with enough money. When we investigated we also found three neighbors, (?) age ten to thirteen, all prostitutes. Three young victims from one family is an extreme but unusual example of child prostitution. During visits to shelter and outreach programs around the country and in interviews with two dozen teenage hustlers are heard not only a (?) of horror stories but also some encouraging examples of youngsters who are being helped to get out of the gutter and start putting their lives back together. Some programs helped.

The largest and one of the most effective programs is Covenant House, started in New York fourteen years ago by Father Bruce Ritter. It evolved from an offer of refuge in his modest apartment on a freezing winter night to six homeless teenagers with nowhere to sleep. The next evening there were ten youngsters stretched down on Ritter's living room floor. This year more than eighteen thousand runway and throwaway kids were over half of them with experience of prostitution will find sanctuary and Covenant have shelters in New York, Houston, Toronto and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Covenant houses are remarkable example of what can be achieved with determined leadership, committed volunteers and private philanthropy.

Last year it raised twenty-eight point eight million from private resources to finance the program. By comparison the entire Federal Government contribution to 'Runaway Shelter Program" nationwide was twenty-three point two million and (?) in 1987 will trim that figure to about seventeen million. Besides of (?) clean beds, clothing and medical assistance the four shelters, offer youngsters comprehensive program services designed to get them into stable living situation back into school or into jobs.

In New York City in Fort Lauderdale, I met two kids former prostitutes who were trying to keep their life together with help of Covenant House workers. Peter, 17, has supported himself since he ran away from home at the age of twelve to escape a brutal father, for five years he worked as a street hustler on Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles as a stripper, Go-Go dancer, prostitute in homosexual boys and clubs in Washington DC, New York, Atlanta, Florida and California. The average person can't imagine what goes on in parts of the (?) underground, he told me. Kids eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen being fed all kinds of drugs and being sexually abused and hurt in meat rack bars in a private party. Peter of (?) name are all those used for youngsters in the article. Reach bottom (?) in San Francisco as a hustler on Poke Street. Most of his earnings went to support the drug habit and he was sleeping on the streets.

I woke up one day and said enough is enough, he recalls, I flew back to New York, went to my mom and my stepfather beat me up and threw me out a couple of days later. I had nowhere else to go so I came to Covenant House. Today Peter is working to earn a high school equivalent certificate and has a modest but petty job as a cashier in a food store. In Fort Lauderdale I met Alice a chubby fifteen year old (?) from her police officer father and (?) mother since the age of thirteen. A veteran of scores of (?) and some parked cars and some motel rooms in this vacation city she said angrily. I got to hate the John especially the older one. They asked how old you are? And I say thirteen. They say good honey, because in a couple of years your (?) going to be any good.

Today Alice is enrolled in a long-term therapeutic program designed to help her overcome a history of drug abuse and regain her emotional health. She is receiving vocational training and has expressed interest in becoming a nurse's aide. Unlike the well-equipped, financed Covenant houses most of the nation's five hundred or so runaway shelters, about half supported partially by federal funds, tend to be smaller and limited by shoestring budget. Kids can usually stay from two nights up to a maximum of two weeks. Dedicated staff and volunteers compensate for shabby furniture and thread (?) carpets. Well, five hundred shelters may sound like a lot, it isn't. Los Angeles County for example with a population of seven point five million persons has just twenty-four beds in its walk-in shelters.

The Chicago Area, by comparison has sixty-eight beds, but Seattle only eight. Other (?) for example San Francisco thirty-one beds, Bismarck, North Dakota three, Nashville eight, Paterson, New Jersey twelve, Sacramento eight, New Orleans sixteen, Miami twenty-four, Galveston, Texas sixteen, Philadelphia twenty-five. Many cities have programs designed to find street kids involved in prostitution and steer them back home (?) some kind of stable living situation. One of the most successful is "Children of the night" begun in Hollywood in 1979 by Lois Lee in much the same manner as Father Ritter launched Covenant House. Lee was studying prostitution for a doctoral thesis in sociology and opened her home to teenage girl runaways who had to come to Hollywood seeking glamour and end up working with Sunset Strip pimps. Last year more than sixteen hundred runaways and throwaways got help from Lee and her staff of counselors.

We are seeing more and more throwaway reports till the (?) who runs the "Steppingstone Shelter House" in Santa Monica. We see kids whose parents put them out of the house, change the locks and don't allow them to return. We see kids who are literally dumped. Their parents drive into California, pull into some gas station, give the kid a few dollars to buy donuts and something and then take off in a van and went. (?) executive director of "National network of runaway and youth services" in Washington DC describes a recent incident in Galveston where a thirteen year old boy came home from school, found his parents and hitched up their trailer homes and disappeared. It took three weeks to track the parents. (?) recalls when mother said she was kind of tired of him and the stepfather didn't want him home at all.

In an era of shrinking Federal and local tax dollars the social problem has brought in complex as the plight of street kids, you see another working (?) were increasingly relied and volunteered help, public generosity and innovative ideas. Our new program that combines all three is "Project Safe Place," an idea that has been successful (?) and one that professional (?) are trying to establish nationwide. The program employs the distinctive yellow and black logo to inform runaways, throwaways and children in crisis where they can get immediate help. Volunteers through (?) in fire stations, libraries, gas stations, convenience stores, public and private facilities are screened, trained to assist youngsters who spot the logo and request help.

They make the children welcome, offer a safe temporary refuge, determining their immediate needs and either transport them to the nearest shelter or arrange for professional help. Project safe places an ideal way of involving volunteers. It also brings in the business community, which becomes interested in problems and hopefully responds with financial support for the shelter and outreach program says Larry Wooldridge who runs the program. It uplifts the entire image of the runaway problem and the shelter program who had a lot of success in involving local businesses and now we are talking to national corporations hoping to spread nationwide.

What you can do if you would like to donate money or time as a volunteer, write to the "National network of runaway and youth services." It will put you in touch with the nearest shelter, parents worry that their children maybe thinking a runaway can request the network so sure, (?) to warning signs and offering advice on how to locate youngsters who have left home. The national runaway switchboard helps parents locate runaway children and encourages to re-establish contact with their family.

YB: (?).

Student: (----)

YB: That is there, what they call it? Isn't it? So I just whenever I find something I bring it home you know. Parade, it can happen anywhere "Kids for sale." And I don't think you want to see these pictures. What I am trying to explain to you the power to destroy the self comes from anger, but power to digest the food and circulate the blood in the veins and to breathe also comes from the same Agan Granthi, heart chakraChakra , Chaakra The word connotes a wheel in action. It usually refers to the seven primary energy centers in the aura that align along the spine from its base to the top of the skull. Each chakra is a center of consciousness with a set of values, concerns, and powers of action associated with it. . So destruction and construction are contained in one chakraChakra , Chaakra The word connotes a wheel in action. It usually refers to the seven primary energy centers in the aura that align along the spine from its base to the top of the skull. Each chakra is a center of consciousness with a set of values, concerns, and powers of action associated with it. , one lotus. It's called the heart lotus. So just forgive me for being saying goodbye to you tonight, I have to go back home to do certain homework but reality of life must be understood before you communicate and you must communicate to yourself what your reality of life is. However, we will talk tomorrow and have you assessed the papers? Expectedly. Oh they are due tomorrow. I mean they have still a day to write them. I like to discuss them and then I like to analyze them and I like to send it back to you.

Next year when you come to the camp and if I am allowed to live, there is a cross chance. We will try to develop to teach you a analytical science of self-exposure to your own self and analyze your own problems within seconds. I think time has come to prepare you for your own tomorrows so that you can do what you have to do in your own lives so you have to you know something you have to understand I am not saying that it's all great. Somebody taught me. I didn't pull it out of heavens you know it came through; I mean that's not true. So I think intellectually and intelligently and consciously we are ready for being who we are. So you have to meditate today or we continuing?

Students: (-----)

YB: Oh, present doesn't suit well?

(Students laugh)

It's a matter of love; it's a matter of purification. It's a matter of proving ourself that we are one with God. I think we should all participate. How many are reluctant to participate, let me know raise your hands. How many are cowards to meditate, haa?

Students: (-----)

YB: I don't think anybody is. How many will cheat tonight? None. So you have a whole group!

(Students laugh)

Take it that way.

"Dukh Daaru Sukh Rog Bhiya Jaha Sukh Thaam Na Hoiee, Thu Karta, Karna Manaahee Jo Hu Kari Soiee, Balhari Kudrat Varsya, Phir Anth Na Jaayi (?)."

I mean to say sometime Sukh means comfort, becomes disease and sometime uncomfort becomes medicine, because then we turn ourself to God. So every summer there is a great uncomfort you know.

(Students laugh)

And this time specially it is great because it comes from those whom we trusted, whom we loved and whom we served. It's not from... but we got to go through the test of life. That's life. So see you tomorrow.

"Rakhe Rakhanhar Aap Ubaarian, Gur Kee Pairee Paa-I Kaaj Savaarian, Ho-Aa Aap Da-I-Aal Manaho Na Visaarian, Saadh Janaa Kai Sang Bhavajal Taarian, Saakat Nindak Dusht Khin Maa-Eh Bidaarian, Tis Sahib Kee Tayk Nanak Manai Maa-Eh, Jis Simrat Sookh Ho-Eh Sagalay Dookh Jaa-Er."

If you really understand the meaning of this ShabadShabad , Shabd Sound, especially subtle sound or sound imbued with consciousness. It is a property or emanation of consciousness itself. If you meditate on shabad it awakens your awareness. , you will fall in love with it. And I hope you will do it all. May the long time Sun...

Students sing: May the long time Sun shine upon you...

YB: And majority of you sometime feel so relaxed, you do not get the maximum. This time of the year God was very kind. It was more rain, less Sun, so you must have felt not well baked. Sometime, it is not enough to be in charge by designation. But it is good to be in charge by action, you have to be one step ahead of time and space in which you are and it takes very surprising to me, lot of responsibility I am trying to educate everybody of you that the way you look at life, that's not what life is. The way you look at life is to survive. The way life is to live. You know that lady came here who was just not very together? Remember? So I offered her, I said, "I offer you something, you go pick up yourself go back, I'll give you a ticket, go back to your place, take care of the doctor and in a week's time doctor calls me and I'll take care of it and if I am satisfied I'll call you back here, in the last two weeks you can be in the camp."

All right, agreed. Went to the Albuquerque Airport, created a fuss police came in and one thing led to the other and finally they deported her from the state. There was no need of all that mess but she loved it. None of you sitting here need the mess but none of you can avoid it. I am so satisfied about it because to avoid a mess you have to be sharp. You have to learn to change gear from one to reverse and reverse to first and first to fourth and all that. It is not how much you know and how much you have will decide the life, life will be decided how sharp and fast and quick you are in adjustment. Flexibility. You understand what I am saying? And mostly I... oh I don't know, I couldn't understand I couldn't know it. I mean I don't know myself what you are talking about. You are there, you got to know.

You got to get up to be and that mental state is real. It's very funny, now you know we have a lawsuit and one of the person in that lawsuit is who has not completed anything in life despite everything done. I mean how she is going to complete this lawsuit I am worried. You know. And what is a lawsuit? Not only the judge returned the lawsuit three times even newspaper didn't carry. I was reading New Mexican today, there was nothing in it. They didn't even touch it. And today I was talking in the morning to somebody and he said to me, he said, "YogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. , how much money you have got?"

I said, "Not a bit. Not a bit long, big one."

He said, "Oh my God!"

I said, "Why?"

He said, "Anybody who has a money gets this kind of lawsuits."

But that was his normal reaction. But my normal reaction is that is it the activity of life in us is so ingrinded that we can understand that the life is worth? And then if it is worth are we willing to give it the worth? I am not asking you to agree with me, I am asking you have you understood the worthiness of your life and if so have you given it a chance? That's what I am asking. First of all majority of you have never assessed your worth. You always have comparative worth. 'Oh I got this monthly, I do this,' that I am saying your reproductive worth. What is your reproductive worth and do you give it a chance? What is this? There is a very dirty slang for the woman, which I wanted to make very mild. But I am trying... I cannot now totally eliminate it because in the scriptural sense you have to understand. The story goes that one daughter was going to go away and in those days you know you have to travel through the villages and ravines and then you go to the aunt's house. So the mother says, "My daughter one slip, you will have either broken or heavy hips."

So this is how the story is and one thing is I am very getting very sick of you that all these years I have been trying to get you to this camp to learn grace and what was reported to me today was so disgraceful that I almost decided not to come to teach the camp tonight. I mean this is not the way; I am not going to tolerate it. First of all we don't make any money out of this camp, secondly we teach it out of love. Thirdly, I sit here to just inspire you to encourage you. And if you are going to do things like this I mean they sue me they do anything to me, that's all right. I mean that's my KarmaKarma The law of cause and effect applied to mental, moral, and physical actions. Ego attaches us to and identifies us with objects, feelings, and thoughts. These attachments create a bias toward certain lines of action. Instead of acting you begin reacting. Karmas are the conditions required in order to balance or complete these tendencies. Though necessary, karma is not dictatorial or fatalistic. It is the mechanism that allows the finite experience of existence to maintain and stabilize itself. We all have free will and can take actions to re-direct the momentum of a karma. We can transform it or neutralize it using meditation, jappa, good deeds, or intuition that remove your sense of ego and the identification with that past line of action. , that I have to go through it and thanks for your help but you guys do it, it's totally shameless, ridiculous, it's inhuman, it's the craziest thing I have ever heard.

You have absolutely no security, people slip out, they go out, they run to motels, it's not going to be tolerable. Believe me. This is New Mexico and this is Espanola, damn you, it will be known, it will be totally allover, they won't let us even have a camp here. If you want to do this dirty thing, go back to your village and town where you come from and do this dirty thing or go to your parents who gave you this dirty birth. Don't come here. This is the town which everybody knows everybody. This is not a place to sneak out and do those kind of dirty things. I can understand politically somebody wanted to do the character assassination and that's a big game and some people want money and that's the whole thing is a total political. But really doing those kind of things? No good. Your this camp security is absolutely no good.

Out of the ten you get zero. You brought me shame, it's okay. Thank you. You come here as my daughter, you come here as my children, I love you. I sit with you all the time and then you do this kind of thing. This camp for last days must have absolutely flawless security and any woman who doesn't want to obey the rule, pack her up and put her on the plane or the train wherever she wants to go. I absolutely do not want nonsense, absolutely no way. I am enough a sacrifice, don't you understand they don't let me live? I never had a trouble. The first year we started Khalsa Woman Training Camp, since then Time Magazine this that, this note that note, I mean to say they don't let us live. On the over... on one way we are under trouble, okay? On the other hand you do something. God, do you know what that will mean? Huh, what a life!

I was talking to you that day that what the assessment, you must assess yourself. Now why you act wrong? Why a woman will go at the middle of the night, leave her husband sleeping, go and have an intercourse, why? Why the wife of a Vice President will find to be sleeping with her gardener at noon? Having four children. Why all this you do? There is some reason for it, there is some psychology, some analysis, some cause and effect of it. You do everything wrong for attention. And not attention from the others. Because when your childhood is not good, childhood is not good, and when you become adult, you want to do something so self-destructive that it can raise a alarm everywhere.

Now my job as a teacher is I have to stick around... it is not... I definitely know I can understand this person can be dangerous and this can't be but question is if a person is dangerous I cannot tell that person go away because you are dangerous that's not my problem. My problem is whether it's a danger... because I have to take last millionth point time, now listen to this, to see that soul can be elevated. So I have a ruthlessly anti-me situation. But the problem with you is what makes me mad that you are all grown up in the middle age, you have children and you are not politically like me to be destroyed, you know I am supposed to go through this, what about you? How come you volunteer these kind of things to totally destroy your own confidence within you? But what is wrong with you?

How can you feel a man... Dekho, there is a problem, a man, a man, who has no characteristic, who has no character, oh could you, if you go to buy bananas, you ask for the rate and you go to sleep with a man check it out for God's sake what his character is, what his background is, what his story is, who he is, how many women he has already ruined and spoiled? How many families have been destroyed? Thoda ja... little bit of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. , little bit of assessment, little bit of communication with yourself is not a bad idea. You buy a earthen pot, you check it out, you try to sound whether it is well baked or not and you pick up a guy on the telephone booth and just go right out in and sleep and what are you? What are you trying to prove to me?

You know it was a very funny thing in Los Angeles, I got a phone call and I said, he said, "Oh I am so and so," he is a captain and he talked to me, and he says, "Yogiji, SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. Sat Naam , Sat Nam The essence or seed embodied in form; the identity of truth. When used as a greeting it means "I greet and salute that reality and truth which is your soul." It is called the Bij Mantra - the seed for all that comes. Sat Naam , Sat Nam The essence or seed embodied in form; the identity of truth. When used as a greeting it means "I greet and salute that reality and truth which is your soul." It is called the Bij Mantra - the seed for all that comes. NamSat Naam , Sat Nam The essence or seed embodied in form; the identity of truth. When used as a greeting it means "I greet and salute that reality and truth which is your soul." It is called the Bij Mantra - the seed for all that comes. Naam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word. ."

I said, "Yeah, what's up?"

He said, "Your one girl is in the hotel."

I said, "How you know?"

He said, "The area prostitutes think that there is a new prostitute in the area."

I said, "My God! She is not 3HO."

He said, "She is not 3HO she is just new student of yours!"

I said, "That is the difference."

He said, "What should I do?"

I said, "All right, somehow I got her off the hook I came."

She said, "How you know?"

I said, "I had a big crystal bowl, I looked into it and you were there."

She said, "No, no, tell me."

I said, "The entire Los Angeles is divided by the prostitute's area and they help the police and police help them. It's a kind of a co-existence. And you took this kid and you went to the hotel and you rented the room and just reported in."

And this police officer is a very seasoned officer, so he didn't think much of you that you are any professional so genuinely and he happened to listen the word SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. It is also referred to as the Word. . She said, "Yes, I made a phone call."

I said, "That's it. That saved you."

Oh for God's sake there is something called discipline, there is something called personality, there is something called some commitment, there are so many things on this Earth, all are just gone, come with me and I will show you those two children and look at them for God's sake, in three days they have changed. And I am doing nothing. Have mercy for God's sake, be human, just have some discipline, some kind, one day you have to die and you have to close your eyes and you are not going to see whether you are sexually compatible or not or you are this and that, you know!

Give me a break and your chemistry did not agree and whether he ejaculated earlier or later... I mean you are just bloody rascals! You are a human; talk something more than little about six inches above the animal for God's sake. Your talks are sometime so filthy and so below average that they cannot be even considered worthwhile. Human excellence is to rationalize and then out of that understand the environmental progresses can be totally deducted and out of that if there is some intentional wrong that should be considered. You do not even process it. "My husband is terrible." I asked the husband, he said, "Yes, I am terrible."

He said, "Look, Sahib, Yeh Hamara Jeevana Sahib such a way."

I said, "What is it?"

He said, "Sir, I work sixteen hours. I keep her like a flower. I come home, she goes for marketing, I sit and wait and wait and nine thirty she comes from movie empty hand."

Don't make every husband as your brother. Hey invest in your husband so that he can invest in you. Husband is a investment. It's a Wall Street; shares go up, shares go down, stocks go up, stocks go down. Exactly that is what a husband is, never ever; I have told you that it's the biggest mistake if you think you have a husband. There is no such thing as have a husband and there is no such thing that you have a father and there is no such thing you have a man in the house. It's a stock market, it's a Wall Street. It goes up, it goes down, company becomes public, it becomes private, God knows what is going on. If you don't have capacity then don't marry. Sit straight single, be a nun. That's better. Give your inner consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. a chance. Give your caliber a display. Give your capacity the success. I still believe and I keep on believing this. When a woman is not for herself, Almighty God is for her, there is nothing, which can make me change this faith. God is so near in a woman, simply she has to let her selfishness go and come out to be just a Divine light in Divine rights and she shall never falter...

Don't blame me, whenever it is known that you are playing games, the whole world starts playing game with you then you cannot be you. Game is over.
