... Spirit, that's what you want, that's what you will get. Hey Gur Shamsher are you there? It is his birthday today isn't it?

Students: (----)

YB: Body is a very beautiful vehicle, when people talk about body, they do not know body. You are the worst enemy of the body. Body does not create relationship, body is not with which you love. Body is not your friend, body is not your enemy, body is not your identity, body has no relationship with you, body is just a time wise momentary vehicle, which gives you the right to live and experience it.

To have a human body, the most sensitive computer in the world is the human body and do not enjoy the experience of life through body, what you do, you believe in killing, you believe in sex, you believe in sensuality, you believe in your games, you believe in power, you believe in control, out of just not doing one right thing, you do about two hundred and fifty wrong things, just to satisfy one right thing, you may be shocked.

The purpose of this body is just what, live and let live and enjoy it, experience it but you can't do that, it is very difficult for you to live and it's extremely difficult for you to let anybody live. So what you do, you play games, call it love, call it power, call it advice, call it religion, call, you call it anything, I don't care, what you are going to call, call it something. Anything else you will do or you call or you understand is nothing but a supplement or complement or element, absolute substitution of one thing alone, live, let live.

When I came in United States, I was asked by all of you, "What you are going to do?

I said, "I have come here not to collect student, I have come here to teach teachers." Under this statement, there was a very underlying idea, I have come here to let you grow to be you. That was a honest statement I stuck to it, many of you came, many of you loved me, many of you hated me, many of you are still trying and will continue trying to destroy me, I went through a character assassination by one of the person I love the most and everything was done and one day, out of my very relaxed moment I call it. I asked her, I said, "You who I have loved so much and given so much are so destructive."

And she turned around and she said, "My parents did it to me, I have to do it to you" and did not stop for a minute what saying. "You have now become my father figure."

I said, "My dear, there is something wrong between you and me."

She said, "What?"

I said, "I have not become your father figure, I have not a figure at all in you."

She said, "No, that's not true."

I said, "All the wisdom which I have shared with you, does not make me your father but I did not sleep with your mother, you can call her and check it out, it's a physically wrong statement, I am no figure. The only problem you have to understand is, I am figuring out and you are figuring me out and in figuring me out, you have to freak out."

She said, "I don't understand you."

I said, "Because in figuring me out, you are figuring out, how stupid you are and when you figure out somebody and feel stupid, there are two ways to do, either hate that person and if you hate too much destroy that person, if you destroy it not, then you go public." You know all the companies, which cannot get finance from the banks, private banks or private finance, it will go public, it's natural. When people hate become public it is called slander. That's why GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. said, "Everybody shall be forgiven but a slanderer" because slander becomes public and public is too vast and too big but basically if you want to look at it, what is a religion, what is a reality, what we are trying to find. Is there some God that I can get it in and kiss Him and hug Him and then hung Him there somewhere and whenever I need Him, no such thing. Basically, there is in me, my basic desire, my nucleus is to live and let live, I want to live and each one of you want to live, that is the primary paramount desire and that desire cannot be fulfilled, if you do not let anybody live. You cannot live, if you do not let another person live. That's why, giving is the rule and that is why, getting exploiting is the law. In sensual world, you should be exploited, you should feel exploited and then smile. You can't do that. Your ego is enemy right there, when it won't let you feel that satisfaction, then what you do? You get mad, you get angry. Oh somebody did me in.

I was talking to somebody one day, he said, "Look at the list, this happened, this happened, this..."

I said, "Hold your breath, I mean to say, I understand, it's too long a list, I can..."

"But would you now please listen everything, everything what I have gone, can you understand my effort, lot of effort."

I said, "It happens to me everyday, every three hours, you know it's big deal."

"What, what happens to deal, people love you, people understand you, people are with you."

I said, "Who? Who? Which people?"

"All these people, all these around you, I have seen, I have seen when they see you they..."

I said, "Well, I have seen it too, don't, don't have any misunderstanding about these people. Well let us talk, what we have to talk."

"I have list, I have list."

I said, "All right, you have list?"

"Hah."

I said, "When you were born, you had a underwear on?"

"What do you, I don't understand, what underwear has to do with it?"

I said, "I am just saying one thing. When you came out of the womb of the mother, placenta and all that, did you search it that your underwear went out and do you had underwear on or not simple question?"

"I don't understand, what is wrong, I mean what a underwear has to do with the whole list?"

I said, "Well, this is a long list, is there underwear on that list, which you had on and which you have lost?"

"What are you talking about?" She said, "Yeah, I was born, I didn't have underwear, then I have worked, I worked, I really created everything."

I said, "Did you create a underwear or you bought it?"

Buy it, sell it, have it, not have it, this is called time convenience, all the list is a time convenience. Time convenience is all around us, is there reality somewhere?

She said, "Yogiji, what you are saying?"

I said, "When I came here, it took me three years to let people wear bra and underwear, so what is the big deal? I think, at least one thing I have achieved now, I don't check people anymore but I think they wear bra and they do wear underwear somewhere, little bun but it's okay."

So basically, in fifteen years what I have taught, just two things. That is good, no, I am not sure, it's good to have an underwear and if it is a Khalsa type, it's much better then you have a air pocket of your own, then it keep your mood and calcium, magnesium in good flow and you will be all right, if not, at least have tuckers, somewhere little thing you know.

I see, when I go in the summer in Europe they wear a bathing suit, it is lot of four strings and couple inches of cloth, well nominal, it's okay, rest you can imagine. So what basically in you is that you have not understood the basic teaching, which is beyond all teachings, which is the teaching, which is the purpose, which is the motive of this body given to you is to live and live with all five senses but you cannot live. You shall not live, if you shall not allow to live. Bible is not wrong, when it says, "Thou shall not kill," it give a commandment and JapjiJapji , Japji Sahib The Song of the Soul written by the First Sikh Guru, Guru Naanak Dayv Jee. Saadhana opens with a recitation of Japji each morning at 3:40 am. A mantra, poem, and inspired religious scripture composed by Guru Nanak. Its 40 stanzas are a source of many mantras and can be used as a whole or in part to guide both your mind and your heart. is not wrong,

'Asankh Galvadd Hathya Kamaa.'

There are million and endless, who cut the throat and do hathya, means the worst act. So basically, we are here today with our body and going to see our body and we want to know whether our body functions as we wanted to function or not because you are very proud of your body, my body hmmm and me, me, me big deal, I am going to see, how, how big deal you are. In sitting in Rome in that shelter, where I was teaching the course, it was a very funny thing. A master, master, judo master, he had a student, very sincere student, he told him to hold apple in his mouth and then he blindfolded himself and he sliced that apple with sharpest Japanese blade, which you can ever understand, everybody appreciated the master, I do too but I appreciate that student.

(Students' laughter)

I appreciate that student so much that you can't even believe it because my idea in appreciating that student was that, God it is something real and then he ask him to put apple on the head and then he sliced it and then finally it is cut it in two, in two equal parts. I really appreciated the student and then he made him to sit in a bridge pose and put about huge possible stone in the world you can believe and then he took a hammer and he struck that hammer and big flame came out of the stone and little part of the stone went out, so it would shown the granite, the strength of the stone. That was first done for just to show us that, I understood it but normally people said, perhaps the master has missed the hit you know. Then he second with that big hammer, twenty-five, thirty pounds of that hammer, he struck it in the center and broke the stone in two parts, on the student perfect bridge pose, and the student was a Italian, the master was Italian, not Indians but that is when you want to learn that much faith you have to have.

Sometime you might be every proud that we are great students. I know how you spell student, SCTUTENDENT, dent, screwdent, that's what you spell students and if you want to ever learn, there is not any great master, never there shall be a great master, who was not the greatest student. Only a greatest student makes a great master. Power of the student is worshipped in JapjiJapji , Japji Sahib The Song of the Soul written by the First Sikh Guru, Guru Naanak Dayv Jee. 'Mannay kee gat kahee naa jaa-i.'

Those pauris, Mannay ke chaar pauriya. There are four letters of the Mannay, they are in appreciation of the studentship and,

'Suni-ai sidh peer surnadh suni-ai.'

They also are in appreciation of the student. There almost eight pauris in JapjiJapji , Japji Sahib The Song of the Soul written by the First Sikh Guru, Guru Naanak Dayv Jee. I like you to go in half wheel pose, simple. It's a very simple..., if you cannot go in half wheel pose, you can look at it.

(Students' laughter)

This is see how simply I said it, go in a half wheel pose, you will exactly know how much relationship between you and your body exist. It's a love relationship. It's a very love relationship, what I am going to teach you, I have never taught you before, so I want you to understand and it starts with a half wheel pose, that's why I am sorry, my personal regrets and I want your tongue out and I want you to do breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. through the mouth. I want you to learn to try it as good as you can. If you cannot make a half wheel pose, you can make a bridge pose, you can do something. Something is better than nothing. That is what I believe, I believe something is better than nothing, that's number one and if you cannot have best make, best what you have, that is the second belief I got, you should sometime ask me my beliefs.

Your tongue has to be totally out and breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. has to be totally good and you have to really try hard and taste your tongue and its bitterness. I mean, I don't want to disturb you. I have nothing to do actually, it is your half wheel pose, it is your tongue, it is your breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. and it is you. Why not to feel sexy now. Feel sexy. Imagine a imagery sexual intercourse, come on and also eat best sexy food or good food you want, image, take imager, go into a restaurant and eat that food, which you appreciated always, number one, second I want you to feel very sensual and sexual in this posture. When your tongue is out, see very kissing and hugging and loving, see, come on, you know, not that bad. Otherwise, stop talking about sex and start talking about restaurants and food and all that.

Come on, did I say something wrong you great yogisYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. ? Okay, okay, okay, relax, relax. Okay, second posture is for the day, second menu, list on the menu is, go into a shoulder stand. Go into... and your legs can go all the way forward and all the way back alternatively. Oh no, no, no, when one leg is out to touch the ground, the other should touch the ground other way.

(Students' laughter)

Yeah, you have never done that, I know. No yogisYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. do this and if you are impotent, I don't blame you and if your wife or your husband freaks out, I don't blame you either and now in this beautiful condition, where your lower body, up to your butts is very straight and your legs are crisscrossed. One is forward, one is back, back means towards the ground. The forward means towards the ground. Yeah. Your get into that positions please and stay. One leg forward and one leg backward, the leg which is going to be backward, it's going to be the right leg, isn't liver is on the right, mostly. Hah, yeah, mostly, yeah, yeah, that angle has to be with that leg, taang, leg. It's very in Gurmukhi we say, taang is a leg, in English you say taang is a tongue, it means, jeeba is tongue. Both words are tongue, if you say, your head is in shoulder pose, bent towards opposite, okay done and then now you take tongue out and now breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. . I really appreciate you love one leg so much and you hate the other one so much and I can't believe, bring the other one to the position also. There will be a tremendous pull on the right side, on that thigh and that big muscle, which you won't like. See we are so normal, we are not doing anything, hanky-panky. You are really beautiful, you can enjoy the karmaKarma The law of cause and effect applied to mental, moral, and physical actions. Ego attaches us to and identifies us with objects, feelings, and thoughts. These attachments create a bias toward certain lines of action. Instead of acting you begin reacting. Karmas are the conditions required in order to balance or complete these tendencies. Though necessary, karma is not dictatorial or fatalistic. It is the mechanism that allows the finite experience of existence to maintain and stabilize itself. We all have free will and can take actions to re-direct the momentum of a karma. We can transform it or neutralize it using meditation, jappa, good deeds, or intuition that remove your sense of ego and the identification with that past line of action. of having a heavy thick butts, now you can feel it. It is called cosmic storeroom. You know sometime I wonder without mirror you cannot see properly your butts because God never wanted to see how much you store.

One day we will take camera and take picture of all butts and see how ugly they are and whenever somebody say, "Am I not beautiful." I will say, "No." And show that picture. And very good, I am very satisfied. The third exercise, I will like to share is to sit down and feel comfortable and stretch your leg straight and catch your toes, really good and try to have no bent anywhere, if possible and having doing that, I like you to put your chin towards the sky and straighten your spine, as far as you can and then I want you to pull your tongue out and then I want you to have perfect breath of fireBreath of Fire Also called agni praan. It is a rapid, rhythmical breath pattern, generated from the navel point and diaphragm with an equal inhale and exhale and usually done through the nose. It is both stimulating and relaxing. It heals, strengthens the nerves, and clears out old patterns and toxins. . This is the easiest part of the whole system you had gone through. All I am telling you is, let your even body live, look what you have done to yourself, when it was given to you, how flexible it was. Remember body was given to you to live and to experience let live. Body was given to you for live and to experience let live. Relax, feel good?

Students: Yes sir.

YB: Now sit in crow pose and fold your hand on the top of your head and in this tone, Hari Har, Hari Har, Hari Har Hari, no, no, watch, watch, watch, let me teach you this tone, this, you have never, no practice unnecessarily you will go wrong. Hari Har, Hari Har, Hari Har, Hari, Hari Har...

(Students chanting, 'Hari Har Hari Har Hari Har Hari, Hari Har...')

YB (talks over): Tip of the tongue. Tip of the tongue, don't use the full mouth. Hold on, wait, wait, wait.

(Students stop chanting)

Hey, hey, you come, you come, watch this. How easily he sits, come on sit here. I have never seen that convenient posture. You watch him? Look at him, hah? Is he in any trouble? Why you are in trouble and chant with the tip of your tongue.

(Students continues chanting)

YB (talks over): Inhale.

(Students stop chanting)

It reminds me of a joke and sit down and relax. One day, Hari Har told me, "How can I go wrong, people even chant my name?"

I said, "Honey, I tell you something, people chant your name, they can't go wrong, you don't chant your name, therefore, you are all wrong."

In the beginning there is a word, word was with God and word was God and that is the name, shall be taken away by the fate. God and devil, fate or destiny, heaven or hell are just expressions.

Out of millions only few has the right to claim it and out of those who claim it, few shall live it but those who shall live to the word O Nanak, shall be the God on Earth. Do you understand? Did I sum up, what is called religion in one statement? Sometime you, you might be wondering, why, who is religious and who is not, who is good and who is bad, I don't want you to judge people. There is no way to judge anybody. Ask a person, "Do you have a spiritual identity, spiritual NamNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. Person said, "No, you have nothing to discuss."

The second thing you can ask and go and find it, 'What your spiritual identity is.' In case, like a fool like me, you can say, yes, I have a spiritual nameSpiritual Name , Destiny Name A practice begun by Yogi Bhajan that gives a spiritual aspirant an anchor within a new identity and practice - a chance to begin again and choose destiny over fate. Har Bhajan Singh, the man who sing Har. Bhajan means the divine singing, divine singing is called Bhajan. When you sing other than the divine singing it is called Sangeet, it is called anything, it can be called gana and it can be... anything you call it, I mean there are so many words but when you sing spiritually, then it's called Bhajan. Bhajan is mean when you appreciate God, that song which appreciates God and you appreciate God.

Har means, Har, Har is a ShabadShabad , Shabd Sound, especially subtle sound or sound imbued with consciousness. It is a property or emanation of consciousness itself. If you meditate on shabad it awakens your awareness. , so Har Bhajan Singh, the lion who sings the divine word of the Har and some day incident happened and I left the job, I left my world, I left... I came here to just to do that and I am grateful to each one of you, that you made me to do that. I am very much in debt to you, sometime you think I am mad at you, no it's not true. Even you abuse me and you use dirty words and call me names, it's okay. I am not trying to ask you to bother, bother about me and my characteristics and my qualifications, I am not worried about that. I am just enjoying just one opportunity that I could do what I was born to do.

And there was a psychologist and psychotherapist, psychiatrist lady and she wanted to have counsel with me and I started counseling and there were certain words she was saying the translator was not translating and then in the end I told the translator I say, "Is she really giving me bad names, that's why you are not translating?"

He said, "Yes sir."

I said, "Thank you, you saved me the direct agony but she has the right to do it and you can translate it."

He said, "No I can't."

I said, "Then she won't say it." But I understand it, after three days, she was the best friend I had around and that's how life, life is not what you say to me, it is immaterial, what you say to me and what I say to you. That's not the relationship. Relationship is what you say to yourself and what you say to yourself, how I say to myself, that matters. That is a spiritual teacher. What you say to yourself, about yourself and around yourself and for yourself and how I see it. You can go and find all books on spirituality of all religion, you won't find this line. You won't find this relationship. Relationship in reality of life is what you say to yourself about yourself, around yourself and for yourself and how I, if you consider me as a spiritual teacher, look at it, feel at it and feel about it. That's all is life about. Everything else is you, I have nothing to do with that and now to give you a good news, I will ask Krishna to sing that song, you are my father, you are my mother, you are my relative and something like that, it is GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. NanakGuru Nanak First Guru of the Sikhs. sang it and she translated it and I want to see, how she sings it and no ego that you are a black. You know sometime you do that, stand up straight. I know, no white, no one can sing it, I know that, it's true. We can be sorry for that. For that time, it is only privilege of the blacks, no ego.

(Student singing, 'You are my love O Lord, yes you are my love O Lord...')

(Student stops singing)

Side B

... not ever. You can understand the baby tone, when she went through was real experience and that is what the tip of the tongue sometime, the chanting and a recitation through it can take you, to the coverage of, it is how you can go through the eye of the hurricane and sit on it and enjoy it. Some of you might have experienced that when she was singing, you were listening to the loud music as a cover up, some might be just lost in the simplicity of the words, both are states of diving in, in the sound current and many of you were enjoying that she could just sing and giving that statement that she can sing and can sing the glory of the Lord, in the word she can sing. It must be somewhere the will of the God that she is nothing and not singing. I sometime feel that there is a little bird which chirps a lot and very sweet, very beautiful but sometime it get involved so much with the cage in jumping back and forth that it doesn't speak, it doesn't chirp, it doesn't sing. Little bird miss the chance but one who has seen that bird and fallen in love and sometime like to listen because fond memories are the hope of life. Doesn't matter where you roam and where you go, the memories will go with you. They will never leave you alone and when the body will be left, the memories shall go with you. Therefore, please create good memories for goodness, that is the only credit you will have on the way from here to your final abode.

Good memories comes from good deeds and good deeds come from good acts and good acts come from the heart and the head surrenders to the heart and human creates the good act, that is the science, that's the law, you cannot change it, nobody has ever changed it, no religion can change it, no man can change it and no Almighty God can change it, this law is above God. When the head surrenders and the heart opens at that time the Almighty God surrenders and that's the moment of the man and that is what human body is about. That is the five tattvasTattvas A category of cosmic existence; a stage of reality or being; a "thatness" of differentiated qualities. In total there are 36 tattvas. Each wave of differentiation has its own rules and structure. The final five tattvas are called the gross elements and have the phasic qualities and relationships of ether, air, fire, water, and earth. and the five rasaas and five juices of the five elements, when fall in the cup of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. And on this Earth there is a ceremony which will come on the April and it comes on every April and I had a very beautiful discussion this morning with someone and she said, "God, you are really great."

I said, "How come you realize after so many years?"

And she said, "If I would have been you, I would have got rid of me, longtime ago."

I said, "What happened?"

She said, "I don't do anything outside but I love the inner stuff of you."

I said, "It's a wonderful idea, I like it, you like the all inner stuff and not the outer stuff."

She said, "Not at all, outer I can't stand."

I said, "Then it saves money."

She said, "How come?"

I said, "Buy an acre of land and furnish it, put all the living room furniture, carpets and make the kitchen and put everything and make the bedroom but please don't build any window, any roof, any wall. It will be the most wonderful ideal situation to live."

She said, "What I will do when the rain comes?"

I said, "Think at that time, what is inner and what is outer."
