Kauda bolna-God doesn't know how to speak bitter. Doctor doesn't know how to give a bitter medicine. Mother doesn't know how to get to the ecstasy of bitterness to stop the child from self destruction. Bitterness is in which angle you are looking at it.

What is bitter? If it is bitter to avoid bitterness to the extent that what you have to do you have to do and what you have to accomplish you have to accomplish. Then it is a very relative term. What is bitter and what is not? God doesn't know how to be bitter, then why there is a earthquake, why the world has been destroyed five times? If a child of your own born is going to put his hand in the fire, to what extent you can go, you know it I don't have to explain. What is bitter is, when you allow the destructions to happen. Bitter is not what you say, do, think or imagine. Bitter is when you allow the other person to get destroyed and you do nothing. Bitter is when you destroy yourself and you do nothing, that is bitter in the terms of Wahe Wahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. It is the Infinite teacher of the soul. Also called the gur mantra. GuruWahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. It is the Infinite teacher of the soul. Also called the gur mantra. Guru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. . It's a state of consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. in which human normally fall apart.

'Sach Kauda hai,' we always say truth is bitter because it is very difficult to be accommodated. God is very sweet, God is not bitter because God has no direct and indirect intention to destroy anybody. All commandment of the God are virtues. Man is born to enjoy and experience virtues but sometime we play a game. We are very sweet outside, very kind, look very compassionate but we have a very ingrown bitter design for other people. We cover it, we coat it and we enjoy it. That bitterness, even shakes the kingdom of God.

There is a saying,

'Garib ko mat sata, garib rodega, sunega uska chahanewala tho jhad se kho dega.'

Don't tease a poor man, a meek man, all he can do is, he will cry but when God or the one who likes that poor man, the God will find it, listens to it, he will pull you from the very root of you; that's bitter, that's extreme. And how many times among you, you have decided what you want and what other person want, how it will affect each other? Might is right, that's bitter. Exploitation is bitter, taking advantage of another person is bitter, tragedy is a bitter, treachery is a bitter, lying is bitter, putting people is a yoyo situation, telling them something different, doing something different, meaning something different is bitter.

The whole life. The only thing which is sweet in this earth is truth; not truth for me, not truth for you, not truth for all of us but the truth. There are three truths-which I know, you don't know, which I know you know and which I may know, may not know, you may know, may not know, that lives, that lives on, that is sweet.

In our limited human life, spiritual people are very kind and very sweet, they take the pain, to go to the extent of being bitter, to arouse somebody's consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. to look at a situation which otherwise is ugly. All the time you must not understand, there are two sides to the coin, it is duniya, do-niyai, it has two sides to it. What is in, what is outside.

Let us understand now that a man of God, GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Arjan Fifth Guru of the Sikhs. ArjanGuru Arjan Fifth Guru of the Sikhs. Dev is taken away by the imperial forces and without any fault is made to die in a very bitter inhuman, insensitive, impossible way of life. Well, if you judge somebody ordinary person, if you judge somebody because he was GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Arjan Fifth Guru of the Sikhs. ArjanGuru Arjan Fifth Guru of the Sikhs. therefore the punishment was that he must die and not a drop of blood should come on the earth, that was the way to kill him and the decision was that he may be asked to sit on a hot plate and put hot sand on it, so he can be roasted alive so no drop of blood can fall on the ground because among the Moguls this is a belief when they kill man of God and if blood gets to the earth, many like him will be born, so it's a very traditional with them. Mogul has two ways to kill a person; one is, if somebody is serving the king and he found to be treacherous, they tie him in a blanket and then run horses over him, that's one way to kill a person.

The other thing is, when they kill a man of God and that is that his blood should not touch the earth and that procedure was adopted, it's most bitter experience but what better it could be that GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Arjan Fifth Guru of the Sikhs. ArjanGuru Arjan Fifth Guru of the Sikhs. pratakar personified God stood this bitter experience to give sweetness to the entire nation of the Khalsa. That's why GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Hargobind wore the sword of Miri and Piri; saint and soldier, concept came from this most bitter experience, most ugly experience, most inhuman experience, in the entire mankind.

There is a medicine called bitterroots. In India the most bitter... Bitter is very sweet to me, because early in the morning my mother will soak up that chiratha, it's the most (?), even my memory has brought me the taste, she will soak it at night, it's called chiratha, it's blood purifier but if you can understand anybody in India who has taken that medicine, it is so bitter that once you take a taste remains with you whole day, you can't get it of it, it's not that you eat garlic and then take that pill and the thing will go away, you will be fine, no, nothing doing, that's bitter but people take it because it purifies the blood, it's called chiratha, it's very cheap, grass kind of thing but absolutely a perfect medicine for purifying the body. The body of the Khalsa which was to come, the body of the Khalsa which started from Akal Moorat to Wahe Wahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. JiJi Soul; used as an endearment or sign of respect. Ka Khalsa, is a very bitter experience of the mankind.

How may Sikhs have laid down their life just to be Akal Moorth, count it. How many sacrifice you have done here in this land of enchantment just to be to be. We have a twenty year of history and it's very fascinating what we have gone through. You raise people, you raise their consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. , you love them, you elevate them, you work for them and how bitter an experience is, when somebody says spirituality has no meaning to me, religion has no meaning to me, I just want to flirt, I just want to run around for a while, I just don't like discipline. You know, when you say religion is a chaos, religion is binding, religion is this, religion is that, actually what you are saying I don't want to relate to my own reality, I am never going to find it, I am never going to relate it, I am going to live as yoyo. The whole life becomes bitter. Inside bitter, outside bitter.

A person who does not have a consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. clarity, consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. is bitter man, bitter person, bitter woman because a drowning person will love to drown the other. So what do you do? When a person is drowning what do you do? Normally it is that when you find a drowning person, knock him over, that's a bitter. Pull him out; if he wakes up alive, takes the water out, he lives, he will thank you but it's the most bitter responsibility not to get tangled with that guy, otherwise he is going to drown and he is going to drown you.

What is bitter and what is sweet is simple fact of life. There is a very popular saying,

'Na surat buri hai, na seerat buri hai, bura hai woh jiske niyat buri hai.'

Neither the face is bad nor the attitude is bad, bad is that whose intentions are bad and when out of sweetness you find the intentions were not good, what you thought was not good, that is what is bitter.

I have seen people eating bitter things, taking bitter medicines, facing bitter situation, becoming excellent with the bitterness. What GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. says about God is don't give people bitter experience, whereas you pretend to be a holy man, pretend to be a man of truth, pretend to be a man of God, pretend to be only a man and come out to be a thief, come out to be a cheat, come out to be a good for nothing. Tell yourself you are very strong and you have no control on your emotions, on your commission, on your life. You are a victim of environments which you create in your mind that you don't have the strength to be realistic. Reality is religion.

Whichever religion you want to follow, it must give you why, why GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. ? God is everywhere, God is universe, how to communicate with this universal identity? We do not know how to communicate between our self and how we can communicate with God? We can communicate with God through GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's words. That is the blessing of the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. , that is the PrashadPrashad Blessed food; refers to sweet food passed out at the end of Sikh worship service; gift of the Guru. of GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. , that is GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. PrashadPrashad Blessed food; refers to sweet food passed out at the end of Sikh worship service; gift of the Guru. and every human being in their life has to grow, otherwise ever human being has a ultimate reality, a bitter reality that you got to go. You can go empty handed, you may never touch the truth, you may avoid it. How many millions of dollars is being spent to cut the hair and the beard, it's a bitter reality, most bitter reality, every morning he puts the soap on the mouth and shave his face, by the evening it is grown. Isn't that true? Man wants to be a baby, God wants him to be a man, man wants to be a woman, God wants him to be a man and fight is going on for centuries.

Somebody asked me, "How many Sikhs are there?"

I said, "About five billion."

"How can that be?"

I said, "Everybody is born Sikh, later on they change."

(Students' laughter)

"They become Jewish Sikh, Christian Sikhs, Muslim Sikh, all kinds of Sikhs." I said, "Sikhism is a degree."

He said, "What is that?"

I said, "Sikh is, how much reality you want to seek. Sikh is not who puts up little bit show and comes out to be. How many times you have got a movie and you are so impressed with and you are so alive with and you so much like it, so much you learn with it, when you come out and your popcorn and your coke is finished, you are the same."

(Students' laughter)

YB: What a bitter reality. Am I right, are you with me?

'Turki BaniBani Literally "Word", Refers to the Word of God contained in the Sikh Sacred Writings; Banis refers to Sikh daily prayers. Ayi, thin sagli chinth matayi.'

English is, world has come from the ethers, to replace every trace of suffering. Why there is a suffering, that's a one question. Suffering is that we always have through our ego or intellect when religiously thought had to process every idea, every thought which is our, which is our freewill, I can pick up any thought but I have the only freewill choice to pick up a thought of my own intellect. Once I pick it up then I have to process it and moment I start processing, there are two ways to do it-one I process it, there shall be a duality. Or I take the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's word and get to unity. Duality and Divinity are two sides of the same coin.

Those who live in duality, may I, may I not, should I, should I not, I am, I am not, you are, you are not, they are, they are not, we are, we are not, is it, is it not, what is right, what is wrong, what is high, what is low, what is side, what is left, what is right, up, down, all this question. Waste of time. Why? You have to go through this process, this can never change. You got to find out unity in diversity and you are very divert, you can't decide, you do not know because as a child I start crawling and I may be walking physically but I may be mentally still crawling. I may be covered physically, mentally I may be very shabbily dressed and spiritually I may be totally naked. Understand the law of trinity. Christianity teaches it, Judaism teaches it, Islam teaches it, GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. teaches it,

'Eka mayi jugat vihayi, thinn chaley paravan, ek sansari, ek bhandari, ek laye dewan.'

There are three things-what is the origin, what is the maintenance and what is the exit. What is the beginning, what is now and what is the exit, what is the end. You have to asses every walk of life in three aspects, not in two aspects, two aspect is, what is my gain and what is my loss. You all do this blunder as human being, what is my gain, what is my loss? What is my gain in emotions, what is in my gain in my satisfaction, what is in my gain in my feelings, what is (?) gain and loss. No you have to understand in the trinity, where I am beginning, how I am going to go about and where it is going to be end? Change your thinking in the light of trinity, you shall never have any bitter experience.

Your life shall not have any bitter experience. If you honorably look at every aspect of your life in the light of the three, I, we and thou and always try to credit yourself in this way; where I am starting, where I am going and how I am going and where I am to end. What is AmritAmrit , Aamrit The nectar of bliss; also the ceremony in which a person dedicates their life to the Khalsa. ? Amirt is a situation in which you promise and commit to Amarata, deathlessness and what doesn't die. What is deathlessness? You, me, us, we, we all are born.

'Jo upjo so binsai.'

What is born shall die. What will not die then? What is Amarata? You must understand the faculty of the leader, leader is who leads, leader is not one who controls. Leader is not who manipulates, leader is not who direct or indirect, leader is leads and lead himself. Otherwise,

You think you earn? You are so attached to your things, your things do not belong to you, they are already given by the unknown, at the unknown time, they will come to you on the known time, question is, are you grateful that they come to you or you are egomaniac insane who thinks I got it. Is your life is thou gave it to you or you got it and in this reality, you have to proceed and project for the happiness. Happiness is when you are happy and serve others to be happy. Don't wait. Lot of people say I am working on myself, when I will be through, I will work for everybody, hey, that doesn't work, that's a bitter lie. The reality is, when you see a situation and you can elevate the situation, go in; who will work for you, God. When you work for others God work for you, when you work for your emotions, your satisfaction, your feeling, it's the most bitter waste of life. Bitter is better when it's truthful and sweet is sick when it's a lie. God is always sweet because God is always truth, God has no connection even to manipulate.

People ask me, "Why I am doing what I am doing?"

Hey, what a bitter question, I am not doing anything. I don't know anybody. I still cannot get on a freeway and reach where I want to reach, that much little I am on the earth. The only driving intelligence I have got from ranch to Ladies Camp and that too if I do not pray I might make a four accident on the way, that much acknowledge I am that I see God's given arc and auraAura The radiant field of energy and consciousness that surrounds the physical body and which holds and organizes the seven centers of energy called chakras. Its strength, measured by brightness and radius, determines the vitality, mental concerns, and psychophysical integrity of a person. and I can understand what man is doing but I cannot enjoy you in the sense you are. We belong to different world but the idea is, if God has given me those eyes to see, I want you to see thorough yourself, be the gem quality, you will be priceless. Look, I have never seen diamonds sold on the roadside, but I have seen potato sold on the roadside.

Therefore, things which are pure gem quality are well contained, well maintained. They are not emotional bums just on the impulse, score yourself, just understand, you can make your (?) life enjoyable by cheapness or you pay the price and make it worth being a human. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. , God is with you all the way. That hope, that praise of the God, that usthath of the God soul hears, wants to hear and that is what GurbaniGurbani Word of the Guru, Refers particularly to the words from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. is. GurbaniGurbani Word of the Guru, Refers particularly to the words from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. is those consolatory, tuned or permutation and combination of word, let me put in a scientific way.

The elementary concept of the construction of the balance of the electromagnetic field of the psyche of the universe in reverse and advanced form into existence, co-relate into that mega potency, to co-relate into that magnetic field, to relate to the comfortable statue of input and output, coming to a balance state of self, when a human through a life energy co-relates those signals which has been patronized by those who have lived in the God consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. and are recreated, the patterns of the neurons resufficiently rebuilt themselves to create a harmony and the smoothness and the strength for a living human being. Neither you understood that first one nor you understand the second one, you are in-between, you are in what they call it twilight zone. The brain patterns of the neurons is your strength and they cannot go weak. So any mother who gets pregnant and when soul enters, reads GurbaniGurbani Word of the Guru, Refers particularly to the words from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. , builts(builds) those divine pattern for the soul of the child. When child is born we sing music and GurbaniGurbani Word of the Guru, Refers particularly to the words from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. around him to built his strength and his brain, neuron patrons(patterns). When we meditate and red our five Banis, we just strengthen our neuron patterns, it's all food for the soul, it doesn't cost anything more or less, all it causes, are we doing it or we are not doing it.

Those people in this world who ignore their own soul, how can they know them self? How they can learn? How they can elevate? How they can grow? That is why they will live like alch-pulch, dirt into dirt, that's why in the end in the western world we say dust to dust. If you want to live that God bless you, thank you, enjoy yourself, I have nothing to do with you but if you want to just improve and just learn the nearest, nearest most vital, most livable, most enjoyable experience within you is the relationship between you and your soul and if you have not reached it through the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's words you can.

Let the whole world talk to you, it's (?) GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. say so.

If your soul doesn't talk to you, you have no friendship with your soul, you have not understood your soul, your soul has not understood you, life has gone dust to dust, waste. That is what Sikh Sikh Dharma A living experience of values as taught in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. DharmaSikh Dharma A living experience of values as taught in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. If you want to flirt, go ahead, there was a girl, I was sick and tired, (?).

I said, "I know you from twenty years, you are the most flirt, worst than anybody can reproduce. I think God has produced you for the best of His interest."

She said, "What is that interest?"

I said, "You are flirting with every man you can see, look and then you get in trouble."

She said, "That's true, I can't help, I am impulsive, I want, I want people to attend to me, I want people to know me, I want, I want, I want, I I I I I I like that."

I said, "Look don't vomit, listen to me. This flirtation which is your source of all trouble, which you want, this attention which you want is very easy to make to supreme divine."

She said, "How?"

I said, "Flirt with your soul. Get attention from your soul, talk to your soul, that is the sole purpose of life."

The sole purpose of human life is to befriend your own soul and that is why GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's words are there to make you understand, bring you to understand, so you can understand and stand under in this most beautiful, most cozy, most far out environment where you can excel, resurrect and be one with God and that is the meaning of Ik Ong Kar. That's why eventuality, difficulty, misfortune hits at sometime in a very bad manner. First question is, why me? Second question is, what I have done? No, no, no, no, no ask your soul I am under fire, soul will tell you don't worry, accept the challenge, how can you win the challenge? You win the challenge with the spirit. If your spirit is with you, you win every challenge. Without spirit, hey without spirit nobody can run the car, Ik Ong Kar. The sole purpose is to face the adversity to turn into prosperity. Cherdi Kala.

Therefore, my dear loved ones, it is time now to understand why you are born. You are born to built Churches, Temples, wardrobes. Hey, I went to a house of a Sikh, I am not going to name him because majority of you as American Sikhs know him; he built a new house and it was inaugurated and I couldn't be there present, so I had to go later and he showed me the walking wardrobe. You know what is a walking wardrobe? There are two master bedrooms in his house; one his hers, one is his, everything in this house is her and his. So if they ever get divorced all they have to do is put the shutters and that's it, that's her and his.

This is a very sick country, wife only wants fifty percent, they are so silly and sick, they don't want hundred percent, they don't want to work for it. Somebody has given the most foolish idea, fifty percent; hundred and fifty percent I can understand but what is fifty percent and (?) if you bargain at fifty percent, somebody give you twenty percent, you are done. Start with two hundred percent, end up with hundred and fifty percent ladies, I can understand you. I can't understand you. Your are fighting for fifty percent. Aren't you crazy?

So it was his and hers and the walking wardrobe is outside his and her room, whole circle around but you can walk around the whole house through that walking wardrobe. They had the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's house also, GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. 's room, it was under the staircase.

That is how dirt to dirt you are. What is precious you treat it cheap, what is cheap you treat it precious. Where you are never going to be never permanent on this earth you make it permanent and then you want to go to God, how can you go? You put so many stakes and so many nails and so much stuff deep down here to stay here that when you want to go God knows what you are going to pull with it.

Money?

That day the HukamHukam An order from the Guru. came remember, at the last time who think of wife, woman, he becomes this, who think of money what he becomes? Snake. So all snakes are those human beings who at the death time thought of money. Those who thinks of his homes and all that, he become a kind of ghost, what else, ha.

Student: (-------)

YB: Yeah, if he thinks of his sons and all that he becomes a pig because piglet gives lot of piglets, you know.

Try to be you and try to be the light and that is where lies the delight of life. Somebody asked me, "Where is the delight of life?"

I said, "Just try to be light."

Lit up, lit up, lit up and darkness will go away. There may be a pitch dark room, put a little candle in the center, darkness will runaway, you don't have to do anything. Just light up the candle and what is the candle of your life-your own soul.

Today go or stay but create a relationship between you and your soul, all problems of the life will be solved gracefully. Once the communication between you and your soul is established, soul is always in communication with God, then between you and God, relationship is absolutely established and then it will be very easy to bring Wahe Wahe Guru , Whaa-hay Guroo A mantra of ecstasy and dwelling in God. Adversity only hit you in life to pull you out of your attachment where you are confined.

You know, they say that they have spent seven and half hundred thousand dollars, I do not know how to pronounce the figures, seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars to bring on us lawsuit. All they wanted to prostitute us and prosecute us, that's all they wanted. They gave us very clear conditions, agree or face it. We decided as the community of the Khalsa, as a nation of the Khalsa, we will face it. You know what happened? We became very united, we became some self realized human beings. We understood that we cannot look to others but to the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. So please remember, the sole purpose of this human life is to have a very well establishment relationship between you and your own inner spirit. Spirit be with you, force be with you, truth be with you, God be with you, all those blessings are based on your one intention-you want it, you want it by your freewill to relate to your soul or not and you want God to win or you want you to win, that is the dirt to dirt ditch. There is a pit in every date, remember that, win you must, win you must, you want to win in your name or you want to win God's name? When I fight, I do not fight that I want to fight, I am the most last person on the planet who wants to fight but I had to fight, then I fight for the history of tomorrow of the Sikh nation. I fight for those who are innocently born or those who are to be born tomorrow, so they may not feel trashed.
