Well, read the last line, you were all taking notes. Last line, just last line.

Student: (----)

YB: Loud, loud. She is a very shy girl, you know. That's why she is chronically single. Go ahead.

(Student reads)

YB: Your trinity must be merged.

Student: (-----)

Well this is a subject, which I preferred to talk in a very simple way. Sex is not sex what you think. The designing and feeling about sex is wrong. Actually sex is controlled by the pituitary or the ajana or the sixth center. Pituitary is the master gland, which controls the entire glandular system. And pituitary also is the master of the sixth sense, which is your aggressive, creative, going forward, successful, happy situation. So it's all here. It's not anywhere else. It's all here and it commands from here. All glandular system in the body obeys it. Even when you meditate and you chant, the tongue touches the upper meridian points.

There are eighty-four meridian points and that touches the palate and palate touches the inner system and through which you become huge and large, big and bigger. There is no dearth about it. I am a very weak man, I am a very sick man, I am a very poor man, I am very horribly placed man by Time and Space. Let us put it this way. Eventuality came.

There was a Chakravarthi Raja, Chakravarthi Raja was, he had the total domain where human can think in those days. One day he got an idea, he said, "I have to give up the throne." So he got his son, he gave him the throne, he walked away like a saint, SadhuSadhu A holy man. , Raja Harichand into jungle to meditate. He was sitting and meditating. After about six months a SadhuSadhu A holy man. came, he saw him meditating. He looked at him, he say, "If I mistake not, aren't you that emperor Raja Hari Singh?"

He said, "Yes, I am."

He said, "What are you doing here?"

He say, "I am meditating."

He say, "What for?"

He say, "To my salvation," you know all that formula.

He told him, "What a fool, go back and rule your country."

He say, "But then I can't meditate."

He say, "Mix it."

Mix meditationMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. with actions. What that will become? That will become DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. . When you mix meditationMeditation Dhyan. It is a process of deep concentration or merger into an object or a state of consciousness. Meditation releases reactions and unconscious habits and build the spontaneous and intuitive link to awareness itself. with your actions, then it becomes DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. . For that there is no accounting. What is the benefit to have DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. ? When we lean on DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. , we lean on grace. We lean on grace, we win every race. People have lot of misunderstand about divinity, they do not understand duality, you know what is a duality? When you question yourself. Then somebody has questioned you. Then environments question you. So you become a serial of nonsense in which you do not know why the hell even you started that way. And you know what divinity is? When you are just one in the beginning, one in the middle, one in the end. When you raise a question you need an answer. Don't raise question. You say who will answer my question. Tell me, chalo, (?), I have taught you thirty years now, answer my, if you do not raise question and you have a question who will answer? Anybody?

Student: (----)

YB: Time and Space are your servants. Time and Space they just made it big.

There are two impulses. One is pranic impulse, one is natural impulse. When you have a question and you don't ask that question, when you have a question and you don't ask that question, then the Mother Nature replies you because you have grace of the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. .

'Birtha Apney Jee Ki, Gur Pey ArdasArdas Prayer; the formal group prayer of the Sikhs. Kar.'

'The status and the statement of your soul talk to the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. .'

There is no other way I can, I assure you, listen to me, there is no other way to become rich and happy. You can be rich, not happy. You can be happy, not rich. Wealth and grace will never join until you are Dharmic. If wealth will come, it will make you do wrong things. I have this, I can afford it, I can do this. That's not typical. All right, now what we are going to do is, today is a very special day and I like you to join with me and see how do we work.

Listen, this is Jupiter, this is Saturn, this is sun and this is Mercury. Right? There is no problem. Sun mudraMudra Mudra means "seal." It usually refers to hand positions used in meditation and exercise practices. These hand positions are used to seal the body's energy flow in a particular pattern. More generally it can refer to other locks, bandhas (see Mul Bandh), and meditation practices that seal the flow of energy by concentration. , just sit like this. Tonight is very special night, I have got all the artists imported and I am going to tell you all and you will have all the fun, like this. Three fingers straight, sun finger into the mudraMudra Mudra means "seal." It usually refers to hand positions used in meditation and exercise practices. These hand positions are used to seal the body's energy flow in a particular pattern. More generally it can refer to other locks, bandhas (see Mul Bandh), and meditation practices that seal the flow of energy by concentration. lock and, hey, do they have a tape on that? Chakar Chakarvarthi? Yes or no?

Student: Yeah, we do.

YB: Put it on, so that they can meditate.

Now it's nothing, it's this finger, there is no big deal, right? But I am saying the permutation and combination of the words between the tongue and the upper palate but create a stereo relationship and because of this mudraMudra Mudra means "seal." It usually refers to hand positions used in meditation and exercise practices. These hand positions are used to seal the body's energy flow in a particular pattern. More generally it can refer to other locks, bandhas (see Mul Bandh), and meditation practices that seal the flow of energy by concentration. you will start getting in the resound of it. It's just watching. Experiment on yourself, see what it does.

(The tape, 'Chakar Chakarvarthi...' is played)

YB (talks over tape): Everybody and from the navel pointNavel Point The sensitive area of the body near the umbilicus that accumulates and stores life force. It is the reserve energy from this area that initiates the flow of the Kundalini energy from the base of the spine. If the navel area is strong, your vital force and health are also strong. , not upper...

Inhale,

(The tape stops)

And put your hands just like this, you know, just like this but see these fingers are straight because the energy you have created has to now be revented into yourself, continue.

(The tape plays again)

YB (talks over tape): .... Press with the hand...

(The tape stops)

Stay steady and become thoughtless for two and a half minutes. Break all patterns of thought so your inner being can have one, two and a half minute relief. Say no to your thoughts.

Put that tape 'Humee Hum Brahm Hum.'

Please in about fifteen seconds you will start chanting from the Anhad, that is the navel pointNavel Point The sensitive area of the body near the umbilicus that accumulates and stores life force. It is the reserve energy from this area that initiates the flow of the Kundalini energy from the base of the spine. If the navel area is strong, your vital force and health are also strong. with this sound current.

(The tape 'Humee Hum Brahm Hum' is played)

YB (talks over tape): You have one minute left but your hand must be straight... Now tighten your hands together at the heart center please and put all the pressure on your hands.

(The tape stops).

Inhale deep. Deep, deep, wake up and press hard, let it go. Inhale deep again, press hard, the maximum you can squeeze, better it will be. Let the energy spread, exhale. Last chance, inhale deep, concentrate to contract your every muscle of the body and put the pressure of the hand that they will start shaking and now you can relax.

There is an announcement beautiful than ever. Cookies will be served in honor of GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Kiran Kaur's twenty first birthday, wait a minute, it's twenty first? She is twenty one year old? She's a kid yesterday born. A party to celebrate on Saturday September twelfth at six p.m. at the home of Hari Jiwan Singh and SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. Bachan Kaur, all are cordially invited.

What happened to them? Oh there is a party.

Now for your sake, shake your hands. It's not necessary but if you should do it, you will feel better.

('On this day...' is played).

Well, where is mama (?)? Oh where are you?

Student: They have gone somewhere?

YB: Oh all of them?

Student: (----).

YB: (?). Just tell them what a beautiful singer you are. Prove it to these guys they should fall in love with you. He is a married man, so don't wish anything wrong.

Student: (----)

YB: No, no, no he is not.

(YB talks to students)

Check if Kiran Joth is here. Kiran Joth, Kiran Joth.

Kiran Joth, please come.

Now before our night music starts for appreciating the company of the holy and in honor of Sukhman, we have among the lady, Sardarni Kiran Joth Kaur, member of the SGPC, the controlling body and they are visiting and studying privately very silently and their impression is that American Sikhs don't talk. It is just like telling an endangered species that they are the endangered species. One thing Americans know how to talk. Without knowing they are talking. So she is an easy target, you can ask her any question you want. Nothing personal. You can ask her spiritual questions and political questions and question on the black hole. Oh yeah, she has done thesis on space, she is very well educated and since morning she has started smiling, she has changed her posture. You are at liberty and I'll prefer you get to some microphone, otherwise once we start the music we are going to continue tonight in honor of the departed soul and we are going to do a really good job, right? We are going to sing like singers.

Now where is she? And...

Student: (----).

YB: Well, you put us in the corner (?). Come on now, ask her questions.

Okay first question I ask.

What do you think of me?

(Laughter).

Kiran Joth: Well, should I start from the beginning?

YB: Doesn't matter, go ahead.

Kiran Jot: Okay. You know when I was a kid I used to see the American Sikhs visiting Golden Temple and I used to be really fascinated because to me it was very strange that people from far off places could be converted to Sikhism and you know there was a certain of element of mystery associated with the American Sikhs. And the general impression among the people was that maybe this is just a passing phenomenon and it will go away but I am very pleased to know and very proud to know that the community here is so staunch and so bold in its thought and so, I can't translate the word but the Punjabi word is Parpakh for maybe Yogiji will help me in that word,

YB: Steadfastly steadfast. That's exact translation. Steadfastly is a nature and steadfast is an action. When a person behaves steadfastly steadfast, the victory is absolute. That is why the word Wahe Guruji Ka Khalsa, Wahe Guruji Ki Fateh means. Less than that, you can meet chances of failure. What is a doctor who is expert and specialist? He treats the same disease again and again with million people and experience steadfastly and steadfast. So with the very touch he can find it. It's very accurate word in Punjabi, and thank you for the vocabulary.

Kiran Joth: And before coming to the States I had a, not very clear picture of what the Sikhs here have to undergo to become Sikhs. The general impression in the east is that since the western society is very liberated so anybody can think, can do anything whether it's wild or it is wise and it is acceptable. But after coming here and talking to some people I realized that things are not so simple. You have had to fight your families, your society and many other things to come to the Sikhs fold. And it really makes me feel that we in India need to know all the difficulties that you had to face and then we will realize the spirit of Sikhism that I see in the Sikhs here. I am very glad I came on this visit and this visit was also sponsored by Yogiji and I am really glad I got a chance to know some of you personally and the general circumstances here and the best part is the Cherdi Kala that I see here in Espanola and when I see that KhandaKhanda Double-edged sword. on the cars I feel we are sitting in Khalistan.

(Laughter)

One thing I feel that Sikhs here need to communicate with the Sikhs in India also. There is a certain aloofness, a certain distance, a common Sikh in India is fascinated by the American Sikhs, but maybe the language is a barrier or maybe it's just the different cultures, the different thinking process, I really don't know but I feel that if the Sikhs the world over could communicate easily then we would be in great strength and what has impressed me most is that the women here are very strong in their faith and as GurbaniGurbani Word of the Guru, Refers particularly to the words from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. says that...

YB: They come one hour earlier, I have noticed and watched. They all come one hour earlier to gurdwaraGurdwara Literally the door of the Guru; traditional place where Sikh worship services are held. than men. May not know that I do watch on Internet, now watch every face, everybody and when they come to bow, we mark them.

(Laughter).

I mean, this guy is not I, the orders are that he should put camera on every face so we must see the state of mind of the person who will come to the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. . He has come with a pride, he has come with a sinking head and (?) but however in future, very soon I am going to play candid camera in the gurdwaraGurdwara Literally the door of the Guru; traditional place where Sikh worship services are held. , none of you will escape and we can pinpoint a person and talk to him through the microphone too.

(Laughter).

So you may also, it is no good to feel the presence of God if you do not feel the presence of the man and there is no use to feel the presence of the man if you don't feel your presence. You understand? We are making it divine, very simple. Next.

(Laughter)

Kiran Joth: I think I have covered my impressions about the Sikhs here.

YB: No, no, they are...

Kiran Joth: Yes and if we can instill some of the spirit,

YB: You should come here and teach them six months, what are you doing in India? Your husband is (?) a lot, he is rich, he works hard, he is the nicest man I have met, does he even raise his eye? You should come here one summer and teach. Be with them in the ladies' camp, what is wrong with you?

Kiran Joth: Well, I was never asked before.

(Laughter)

YB: Oh you belong... She is the granddaughter of Master Tara Singh, who was the only one Indian Sikh leader who understood the pulse...

SIDE-B

... Indian Sikh leader who understood the pulse of the Sikhism.

Kiran Joth: And he was also a convert.

YB: He was a convert, too. So technically speaking you should come next summer and join the ladies' camp.

Student: Boley Sonihaal...

Students: Saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat Siri Akal.

YB: These are the Sikhs that didn't take your consent, you know, it's the Khalsa way.

Kiran Joth: I am aware of it. I really have no say now.

YB: The question, which we are bothered about is, there is a shyness, there is a shyness on the part of the Indian Sikhs or some Sikhs, shyness. Among us there is a shyness also but I tell you I assure you the fact is those who have lived out of that shyness, come out of the shyness has got prosperity and grace together. There is nothing once you are a Sikh and you just wear BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. . I am not saying that you are doing something wonderful. You remember why I started wearing like this BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. ? Have you heard that story? An archbishop died in New Mexico, he made a habit and said there is a one holy man, this should go to him. So these three priests found me in Los Angeles and asked me to wear that habit. I said, "Why me?"

They said, "We have tried everybody in New Mexico, it doesn't fit anybody. But you are New Mexican and you are temporarily here. We cannot wait you to come for the summer, you wear this."

So I stood up and I wore that. It fitted so well, it's still in the archives, it's not something story made up. It's true. So they gave me one hundred and one dollars and the habit. So I said to honor them I'll wear it in the morning and I don't want to name, some of my staff members told me they will tear me apart, we are no Catholics, we don't want this (?) things, you can't wear it. And I said, "Look, I have to honor it, I have to wear tomorrow something." You know they took sheets, stretch out this side and that side and down and made a beautiful first gown, they told me, "You wear this." Now you understand I wear very decorated though, you see. One is to promote you, you are very rich, whether you have paid your income tax or not. Secondly, I came from the airline from London and an officer showed his card and say, "Please follow me." So I went with him. I looked at him and I said, "Are you a Jew? And you must be young custom officer."

He say, "How you know it?"

I say, "I know this was my job one day too. So why you pulled me out?"

He said, "I want to ask you some question and I want to look at you."

I said, "You think I am an Arab, right?"

He say, "I don't know, who are you?"

I say, "There are three hundred people waiting outside, I am still an Arab?"

He say, "Okay sir, thank you, I was mistaken."

I say, "But that won't work now (?). You fill your report and write down under that down section that you have searched and found nothing."

He say, "No I don't want to do it."

I say, "You will lose your job. First of all, it'll be illegal search and on proxy and it's not fair."

So we filled the paper, I signed, he signed. He say, "You are very fatherly."

I say, "No, I am just trying to save your job because under the impression you have put I understand, but it's all right."

When I was walking with him back, he gave me ten dollars. I say, "For what?"

He say, "Take some trim and put it on your gown, so I can understand you are religious man and not an Arab."

(Laughter)

Since then, I have wonderful gown, thanks to my seamstress, one in the north, one here, where is she, today in the class or not? Are you there? Are you making the best for me? From what Swarn gave?

Well, we are going to have very, very good things out of that whole situation. My idea to ask you is, it is not that what you wear. You can wear any cloth, any clothes, any boutique, doesn't matter but when you wear on which we gave, price we paid, we gave our head and he gave us BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. . You have to understand this once for all. We are not running a boutique shop and we are not cloth merchants. But fact is, when on the day of Baisakhi he called for a head and we gave one, two, three, four, five, he dressed us. That was his first act. He gave us a BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. . That consolidatory situation of the GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. and the man was established that day. And that's what it represents. It represents what he say,

'Jab Lag Khalsa Rahet Niaaraa, Thab Lag Tej De-o Mei Saharaa, Jab Eh Ga-eh Bipran Kie Reet, Thau Na Karoo En Kee Prateet.'

That uniqueness, exaltedness was given to you and he gave you beyond Time and Space. We are in Germany, we are like this, we are in Norway, we are like this. We are in Spain we are like this. So we have created a family, which is beyond political jurisdiction and economic sanctions. And this development of unisonness they call it, it is called micro-unisonness with the macro-consciousnessConsciousness The nature of the self and being. In the realm of nature, awareness becomes consciousness. It is from the being itself. Being is expressed in consciousness through contrasts and sensations, in awareness through merger, clarity, and reality. . This combination will make you a strongest, ever living nation. I am not saying I don't have weakness. I am the weakest, most poor, ill-educated person but that may be elementary right. Everybody is ill-educated. Nobody can go to six hundred thousand million libraries and read hundred million books. No. But there is only one thing to learn. You are you within you and you are ever for you and when you are not there, there is nothing. Why not to act with that divinity? Why not you choose your life, you choose your projection and when you choose your projection and sit still, then everything will come to you. Then what will come to you is direct from God as a cause and you become the effect.

I tell you many times, I tell you today, I was born prince and I had a land and I had riches you can't believe. Let me give you example of the riches. Twenty-seven gunnysacks of diamonds. Have you heard like that counting? Nobody ever counted what is in it. They just weighed the sack and said this is it. And then I was refugee, I was pauper, I stood on the grounds and there was no chance of any meal within twenty-four hours. When I left India, resigned, came back to Canada, lost everything, then I was standing at Toronto airport, -45 centigrade temperature outside and rainstorms and I have a silken gown on myself, what you call it? House what?

Student: Bathrobe?

YB: Yeah bathrobe kind of thing. That silken Indian you might be seeing it and then it was all started and then it was all started and that is when I wrote my poem which is in "The man called Siri Singh SahibSiri Singh Sahib Honorary title given to Yogi Bhajan to indicate his role as spiritual leader of Sikh Dharma in the West. His complete title within Sikh Dharma is Siri Singh Sahib Bhai Sahib Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji. ." One day the day shall come when all the glory shall be thine, people shall say it is yours, I shall deny, not mine. And then I have phrases with that.

Your history in thirty years is what you call is creative history. Why it is so? Why you look so pretty though you are not? Why you look so rich, you are not? Why you are so aggressive you are not? Why you reach out not? Why you have more tolerance than anybody? Why in spite of all wrong you are always right, why? Because you belong to the domain of Raj Yog. You are born by the will of God to be the rulers and to be united with your internal spirit of God. That cannot be taken away from you. Nobody, no force and some people ask, "What will happen to Sikh Sikh Dharma A living experience of values as taught in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. DharmaSikh Dharma A living experience of values as taught in the Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Dharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. ?"

I tell you what will happen to it. People will dig your door out. Hordes of people will come and ask you to make them like you and then one touch will create the miracle. One touch. Just touch anybody, I have an experiment, I am giving you my own secret. I may not be needed after this, so I thought let me share with you. I don't do a damn thing. If person comes to me and tells me what to do, I feel like that I should do it. It's a question of simple mood, I am not talking of that thing because you must understand one personality of mine is a great yogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. and pair of opposite doesn't affect a yogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. .

So it doesn't affect anything to me. I am not worthy to be God, even human. Human must have a passion, compassion, all that. YogiYogi One who has attained a state of yoga (union) where polarities are mastered and transcended. One who practices the disciplines of yoga and has attained self-mastery. is a still stone. But if it comes on me that I have to help because I took the vows that I will never use those occult powers for which I was once very proud and today I am very ashamed and I don't want you to follow that path at all, it is a nuisance. But I feel at that moment, look how clever I am, watch me. I feel GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Ram Das Fourth Guru of the Sikhs. Ram DasGuru Ram Das Fourth Guru of the Sikhs. has heard, now it is his problem, not mine anymore and I tell you within my eyesight, things happen. It's amazing, you might be thinking that you have to stand on head and you have to do this posture, this all we do to bring in your nervous expansion. We do not want to limit your nerves, we want your nerves to expand and meet the challenge.

That's the property of a KundaliniKundalini Comes from the word "kundal"; coiled energy; the creative potential of an individual. Kundalini Yoga It is a Raaj Yoga that creates vitality in the body, balance in the mind, and openness to the spirit. It is used by the householder, busy in the world, to create immediate clarity. The fourth Guru in the Sikh tradition, Guru Ram Das, was acknowledged as the greatest Raaj Yogi. (See Raaj Yogi.) He opened this long secret tradition to all. YogaKundalini Yoga It is a Raaj Yoga that creates vitality in the body, balance in the mind, and openness to the spirit. It is used by the householder, busy in the world, to create immediate clarity. The fourth Guru in the Sikh tradition, Guru Ram Das, was acknowledged as the greatest Raaj Yogi. (See Raaj Yogi.) He opened this long secret tradition to all. to zero to Infinity. It's a simple thing, it's a union between zero and Infinity. In a higher mathematics it is called equalization. It's a science of equalization. As the pressure is, that you are. It's a very simple thing and one day this world out if its emptiness will come at your door and beg you to give them what you got. But technically speaking, today, tonight I am speaking, it's a call of the time. It will come to you. It has come to you to hang in here with BanaBana , Baana One's outward projection, often refers to a specified clothing that projects a consciousness. and BaniBani Literally "Word", Refers to the Word of God contained in the Sikh Sacred Writings; Banis refers to Sikh daily prayers. . It's a very difficult subject. Getting up at three o'clock is a nonsense, who wants it? But when you have habit of three o'clock get up, you don't get up, you feel like lousiest person as you have lost your whole face, grace, strength. Nothing is left in you. What is awarenessAwareness The pure nature of existence; the power to be consciously conscious without an object or need. A fundamental property of the soul and true self; it is Kundalini as it folds and unfolds itself in existence. , what is this enlightenment? Enlightenment is that what you have seen the light and you stick with it.

It's not that I am not foolish, I am an idiot. I sometime one o'clock, sometime I watch TV, that day there was a TV show and I said, I am going to watch this because I like to see how the western language and all that stuff, that's how I learn about American culture because you don't tell me anything. You think I am ... So I decided I want to watch this TV. It ended up at one thirty and I was miserable. You know it was too much strain on me. I went, slept for an hour, I got up on time. I was fresh, I was young, I was peaceful and I learned that people work in street to shoot at each other. And before walking they stop which you don't know. When you attack somebody you attack. In sharp gun shooting, a practice is evidently right that person will walk and stop and at that time he is out of the bullet range. Others will come in that range, it will stop and then they will walk and then the game is over. One will die or perhaps both will die.

Character in every life is that you can stop and you can start. If you stop consciously and start consciously, you are a conscious person. This is what you have to admirely learn that your transmission and your brakes should be under your control. Therefore in resolutely I am trying to ask you something.

Thank you for bringing all these harmonium. Gianiji you are not going anywhere, you are singing too. I know where are you going. Everybody has to go everyday there.

So I am technically speaking, I am asking you. I have come and I'll be gone. We are also having a beautiful house built in Rome where I'll be trying to serve my European territory. I have certain difficulties where I need a little isolated, little hut you know, for my sake, so few moments I can spend. So God has provided us with an opportunity and we are going for that but you who are sitting here and feel I am your leader, you are wrong. You who are sitting here are the leaders. I am just the accountant. Eighty-six leaders, thirty-five leaders. I don't believe anybody will make me better or make me feel better except you. If you progress to be ten times better than me and you become a proven character, I think I am the happiest. And you should be exactly for next generation be that way.

Let us keep the tradition of SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. . SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. doesn't mean washing the utensil. SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. also means inspiring the other person. SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. also means be gracious, SevaSeva Selfless Service. the heart of the Aashram experience is serving each other. also means to look smilingly. Your strength as a nation remember me always will lie in your smiles and in your songs. That is how you are and who thirty years ago ever knew that we will have even one person who call himself Sikh? Not only you call yourself Sikh, you are the Khalsa, you are order of the Khalsa.

I remember that day when twenty-six of you went to the Akal Takhat and demanded to be baptized. And I also remember that fight, you told Jathedar now we are Khalsa, if you ever call a woman, woman Bibi, they are going to throw you out of the top story of the Akal Takhat. And he came running to me and he say, "What the hell you have brought for me?"

I say, "What is the problem?"

He say, "They want turbans, they want to be Khalsa and they tell me that I cannot call them Bibis."

I say, "Don't, they are all karate experts, they are going to throw you out..."

He say, "That's what they said. Where I should get the turbans?"

I say, "Go there at the (?) and you know the yellow cloth which make for Saropas, they have stock there."

So we took two, three big lump of it, tear it up and gave them. Every woman came with a Kamarkus, yellow Kamarkus and beautiful. I don't know where they learned in a moment. They all had turban on their head. They walked down all in one line and they looked at me and nobody said, 'SatSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. Namji, how are you?' or anything, Wahe Guruji ka Khalsa, Wahe Guruji ki Fateh. I took upon myself I say, the game is gone, it's all one and they will never stop.

You have never been taught any rule which GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. himself not gave and which he himself not practiced. He is the father of this nation and the most divine lady Mata Sahib Deva is the mother. You are never ever going to be orphans. I try my way. It's not that I am not in difficulties, I am not a solo, fine person that everything I can do or get it done. Sometime I do twist the hand of arm of God when I need it is essential. It's not, it's between the child and father, it's funny thing but on the other hand you see whenever there is a difficulty, Mother Nature and Heavenly Father come down in a personified way to just even assure, don't worry, we are here, we are not gone and that's the sense of a quality you must have with your God and what is inside is outside.

'Joi Pinday Sobarminday.'

You are not going to find something else. Actually Sikhism is not an Ism. We call it religion because we wanted the tax exemption, you know that's what it is. Otherwise who, this is no religion at all. It's a pure reality in personification. That is how it is. So technically this is the leader where Sikhism started. This is the granddaughter of a man, she doesn't know how much I know him but I know him. She is the granddaughter of that man who gave us pride, who gave us strength and who gave us independence. And if today the Punjab is what we have is, is to that single, soul person. So technically she is here. Now she should, she wants to go tomorrow, she should go?

Students: No.

(Laughter)

YB: I was damn shocked when she told me this morning, "I want to meet you for five minutes and we have to go." Something with tickets. Who cares for tickets, hell with tickets and all that, you know we don't care. So we told her at least today because it is Sukhman's ceremony therefore you should not go. So I am going to ask you, don't you like to meet her?

Students: Yeah.

YB: Isn't that true?

Students: (----).

YB: And she should not go?

Students: No.

YB: Well. She is in no difficulty, she is a well-to-do and her husband is very sweet, he'll say yes, yes, she should not go, even he agrees.

Student: (----)

YB: Now this is what I am trying to say what are you doing in India? Counting dust?

(Laughter)

And smog? Why don't you come here where work is? Why don't you talk to women? Why don't you tell them I love them? Why not you should become their buddy when they go to this place Anandpur SahibAnandpur Sahib Birthplace of the Khalsa, located in Punjab, India. ? They should know that you are with them and you are theirs and they are yours. What an isolated life that she has adapted for what? And now she has come, why she should go? And she has been roaming around for two months without telling us. Now we have found her, now she wants to go. As much we have roamed, that many days you stay here, deal is over.

Student: (----)

YB: Okay five days off.

What do you mean? All right, you go back, stay three days, we'll send you ticket, come back. Come on any... Oh well, this is not, (?) come on certain rational ground, after all we are human beings. There is nothing to it. All these ladies are not defunct, they have question. Hey, Siri Karm, is that true? And they want to know something, is that true? They want to talk to you, is that true? They like to meet her.

Students: Yes sir.

YB: She speaks English.

(Laughter)

Kiran Joth: Don't tell me that is the only plus point I have.

YB: No, that's the first step.

So now second question please ask her. Yeah.

Student: (----)

YB: There you are.

(Laughter)

You are asking (?). Why not?

Kiran Joth: Well, there are Sikhs who believe that Sikhism and yoga are not really interconnected, so to be a Sikh it is not really important to know yoga and that is the thought that we have grown up with. And that is the thought that is still prevalent there.

YB: Should I explain to you what happened actually?

Students: Yes sir.

YB: It happened to me. We went to India, after three years I be here with eighty-four students. And we went to Delhi. There was a, there is a one thug, he unfortunately took our money, our passports, however, American Embassy intervened, got our passports but not the money. So we took off from there and we wanted to go to Hari Mandir Sahib, Golden Temple, and we were told we are not allowed. It's a fact. What I am saying is statement (?) fact by virtue of fact because it is true. Chief minister at that time, I forget his name, he broke the cabinet and became the chief minister, GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. NamNaam , Nam The manifested identity of the essence. The word derives from Naa-ay-ma , which means "that which is not, now is born." A Naam gives identity, form, and expression to that which was only essence or subtle before. It is also referred to as the Word. Singh, you are right, GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. Singh. He came to gurdwaraGurdwara Literally the door of the Guru; traditional place where Sikh worship services are held. Alamgir and asked us to be stationed there. In Delhi we were in a mango garden of Kabari, whatever his name was. So technically speaking we were there and he came and he say, "It is all a unfortunate situation. At this time communist block is putting pressure on the Akalis not to receive me and these people because they are CIA agents."

No, no, it's true. And I said to him, "If any CIA agent start taking bath at three a.m. in cold water, he leaves everything."

And he said, "Well, they have some groups organized to attack you. Therefore I do not feel it is comfortable to go."

When you hear this from a chief minister, naturally you think twice going there. So I decided to have buses, air-conditioned buses, go all the way to shoot, go to Dukh Bandini Ber, not even go in Hari Mandir. Go Dukh Bandini Ber and we should have a sip and dip in the water and then we must return. So what we did is, we went there, have a dip and sip, but to take off the cold, wet clothes and all that, we came into SGPC office thinking this is an office, at least we can be safe here, in case because that has an iron railing. So on one side I said organize. So immediately some student who will bear the memory when they went with me first time, we put big sheets on all sides and in one ladies could change their clothes and men could change their clothes. So just to get ourselves some people dipped all the way with wet hair, so we stopped there and started chanting Ek Ong Kar, long Ek Ong Kar, can you show her how we chant that?

(Students chant 'Ek Ong Kar...')

Eighty-four of us were chanting. The secretary was Giani Mahendar Singh. He said, "What is your program?"

I say, "Nothing, we will just dry ourself and we will get in car and go back."

He said, "Don't insult the nation. You belong to GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Ram Das Fourth Guru of the Sikhs. Ram DasGuru Ram Das Fourth Guru of the Sikhs. , I know you when you were an officer here. I want you not to do it."

I say, "Gianiji, chief minister had told me that we have no guarantee of safety and I don't want to bring Americans here and get killed. For my sake I don't mind but for the sake of the grace of this country as a whole." And meanwhile I was talking to him like that there came a whole police contingent to protect us. I say, "See, there is a trouble. So please let me go."

He say, "Give me a word of honor you will come back again if I send you message."

I say, "Well, if you arrange things, I'll come."

So we went Khalsaji back to gurdwaraGurdwara Literally the door of the Guru; traditional place where Sikh worship services are held. Alamgir. Three days later a message came that we can come. We came and first time eighty-four of us, we chanted in the PrakarmaPrakarma , Parkarma Literally: A window to life. The marble pathway that surrounds the sacred pool and Golden Temple. of Hari Mandir and we filled it up. GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Ram Das Fourth Guru of the Sikhs. Ram DasGuru Ram Das Fourth Guru of the Sikhs. became our guide, our (?) singer, our drumbeater and ourself. And we own and ruled through the throne of Raj Yog, which Indians have forgotten. And we did a most powerful miracle that thousands people came and thousands people chanted with us. And we safely left back, came to United States and on the way we had lawsuits and we had threats and we had everything you want to know but GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. never abandoned us. Have you seen that picture of mine where head is burning like a flame? You have got some of you that painting? That was exactly what I saw in the vision. I saw GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. Guru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Gobind SinghGuru Gobind Singh Tenth Guru of the Sikhs. on a horse guiding us, but his head was when I said to, I said, "Guruji, why you have a lambu on the head and there is nothing I can see?"

He said, "In this light and the darkness of night, I'll let you free and reach you home."

I don't want to relate the problems and I don't want to tell you the problems, they were impossible. But I happened to be a government officer and I know everybody and I had a lot of connections, so things somehow got solved and we were on the plane eleven p.m. night from Palam airport and we came to San Francisco. We actually barely escaped. That was our first reception. And yoga is not a part of the Khalsa, so all Kriyas which are in Siri GuruGuru That which takes us from ignorance to knowledge; from darkness, gu, to light, ru. It can be a person, a teaching, or in its most subtle form - the Word. GranthGranth Literally: knot: book. are wrong. All of them. All of them. The communist made payment to twelve hundred rupees a person to propagate against us. When I went to Russia on the invitation of that world forum and I and Gorbachev satSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. down and talked and I say, "Why the tell you are doing this to us?"

And he say, "What is in the pipeline I can't withdraw but I'll not sanction, I'll see nothing is sanctioned more."

And since then we have become American Sikhs. We are not American Sikhs, we are the Khalsa. We are not American Sikhs at all. We are Khalsa everywhere. You cannot convince us and I cannot convince you, you are this or you are that. When in San Francisco, San Francis is that place, what they call that? Assisi. I was having a course there and Tarlochan asked me, "But what are you doing now? What you are going to do?"

I say, "I am going to show you the biggest miracle of this planet. As God could have done it, I can do it for you (?)."

"What is this miracle can be?"

I say, "I show you. And will you believe it?"

He say, "Yes, show me what is the miracle."

I say, "Christians stand up, Jews stand up, Moslems stand up, Hindus stand up."

And we all stood up and then I say, "Sit down." They satSat Existence; what is; the subtle essence of Infinity itself. down, I don't know why I said so. I say, "Tarlochan, this is a Sarv DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. . Under on roof all religions have gathered together to love God. This is the future of the Age of Aquarius. That's why I have chosen Assisi, where peace and tranquility prevails." I say, "You have never understood, you always say American Sikhs, what is meant by American Sikhs? Now look how many Spanish are there, how many Italians are there, how many Germans are there, how many Norwegians are there. Just watch."

And I also know the story, which my grandfather said, the prosperity of life and that of the land depends on the one drop of the rain which starts the floods. So you are all in a combined force under circumstances yoga is the life of the Sikhs. They seek union with Infinite spirit of God. It's a science, it is not a philosophy and they have been told yoga has nothing to do. You know what public relation can do? Yoga has nothing to do and second thing what they feel is that Yogiji has hired ten, fifteen people, he puts turban on their head and he comes and visits India to show off and the greatest thing they ever said is never go and visit Yogiji. He is going to put some girls, nude girls, white girls with (?) and take pictures and put it in the press. As we have no honor. As we have no grace. And it has been said by those people who are the highest religious people in our DharmaDharma A path of righteous living. It is both an ideal of virtue and a path of action that is infused with clear awareness and comprised of actions that are the soul in total synchrony with the universe. It is action without reaction or karma. .

But one thing we have done, I am thankful to you all, we have learned patience pays. I don't know how many people talk to you not to come here even. When I talk to her, she is my, just like as my granddaughter, as anybody can be and with all the affection I was pressing her so hard and beating her up, "But you must come, you cannot go without meeting me because I know you have come here," and all that, she said, "Yeah, but I have my husband, too."

I say, "That I know. I am not asking you to (?), you are not a girl. I know who you are, you don't know me, but we'll meet and they will discuss."

And without knowing each other thoroughly well, she wants to go back. Is that true? Is it right? She is educated, she is educated, she understands, she knows, she has pain like us, she knows the truth and she is a very full of vigor and vitality to champion the cause and I think it will be added strength to her if she knows you independent of me. That's what I am trying to educate her. Know them, they are for twenty-five years they are Sikh. Quarter century. But I don't know she wants to leave tomorrow or not.

(Laughter)

Kiran Joth: And you did invite me to the women's camp, so I guess...

YB: You know for me to invite anybody is just nothing. Once you must understand this is a Sarkar-e-Khalsa. We don't count money when it's a cause and we never spend when it is not a mission. We are really, truly selfish. Believe me, believe me, so technically I think you should stay few days and relax and ask this guy to arrange your ticket anywhere you want and not meet others bad situation and leave good situation at home and be miserable.

Well, I think we have said enough, right?

(Laughter)

Those who are in favor she say Hi, those who want her to leave, say nay. I'll have it.

(Applause)

Chalo shuru karoji.
